I woke up early the next morning. Everyone was still fast asleep. Keith had pulled me even closer in the night. While I waited for them to wake up, I couldn't help but look at my engagement ring.
It was made out of white gold, with elegant swirls and a diamand in the center. It had smaller a bunch of smaller diamand around the sides. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen.
I must have been staring and thinking about it for longer than I thought, because the next moment Keith pulled me tighter.
"Good morning, my beautiful," Keith whispered husky into my ear which made shivers run down my spine. I rolled over in his arms to look at him.
"Good morning, my handsome," I said just because I couldn't not say it. And it was the truth, because he truly was very handsome.
We snuggled for a little bit longer before Gemma and Steven woke up as well. We packed up our little "camp" as fast as we could so we could start walking again.
We walked for four hours with little breaks in between.
"This isn't how I thought our little trip would have gone," Gemma said at some point of time.
"Don't worry, no one thought this is how it would've gone," I deadpan back to her.
"Hey guys," Steven said with an enthusiastic tone.
"Not now Steven," Gemma said and rubbed her temples.
"But there's our car!" He said. The four of us stopped walking and looked in to the direction that Steven was pointing. And there stood our car.
We hurried over towards the car and searched through it. Everything seemed to be there. We all got in. Keith and I took the front while Gemma and Steven took the back. Keith turned the key in the ignition.
The car roared to life. As we drove, I fiddled in the cubbyhole.
"Hey, what's this?" I said and pulled a thick piece of paper out.
"That wasn't there before," Keith said as I unfolded it. It was a map. It had a root on it. We were on the road that lead to something according to the map.
"Let's follow it," I said enthusiastically. Keith rolled his eyes, but did as I suggested. There was no signal for radio so I popped one of my CD'S in there.
After a few hours, a dinner came in view. Keith drove the car off the road and towards it.
"Why are we stopping here?" I asked him. He pointed towards the map.
"It's a check list," he said and showed a few points out on the map. I looked at him confused but he just gestured that we should climb out. We did.
We walked in to the little roadhouse. It didn't seem abandoned, only empty. A friendly lady was standing behind the counter smiling at us.
"Welcome to Sunshine Peek Dinner!" She squeeled with delight, "Please, have a seat."
We all took a seat at the counter and the lady handed us menus. I scanned through the menu and almost wanted to order everything on the menu.
There were things like fresh apple pie with whip cream to things like homemade hamburgers. I ordered a strawberry milkshake to start.
Once our drinks arrived I almost grabbed the milkshake from the lady. It was my favourite type of milkshake. Tall, thick, cream and topped with whip cream.
"You hungry, baby?" Keith asked me and placed a hand on my lower back. I spotted the rest room.
"Kind of," I got up from my chair, "meet me in the restroom in five," I added before walking towards the restroom. Once inside I fixed my hair, which was dirty. I also fixed what was left of my makeup.
Five minutes later, Keith walked in. I didn't give him time to ask anything, I just grabbed him by the front of his shirt and pulled him towards me. He grabbed me by the waist and lifted me up easily. I wrapped my arms around his neck.
Then his lips met mine and I was sent in to bliss. He kissed me deeply and passionately, making my head spin. There was nothing now except him.
Huh, Gemma, I guess we did find a room...
He stroked my cheek before placing me down and kissing me a few more times. I walked out first and found our food waiting at the counter. I smiled a friendly smile to the lady, who smiled back, before eating my food.
Have a make out session in a dinner's bathroom. Check.
