Conner had been stuck in that hospital for over a month when he helped Norman escape.

"I want to get out of here." Norman said, mumbling softly as the two of them sat at the top of the elevator shaft. Anyone who died was threw down their. But for them it was just a place to escape for a little bit.

The bottom floor had become totally infested by walkers, Desperate to get to the humans upstairs on the third floor. The Elevator had been completely removed from the shaft.

"Then why don't we?" Conner softly said. "We could very easily get out through the first floor. There's one opening in these Shafts that leads directly outside."

The doctor had taken Conner down there when he asked him why he stayed. The zombies. That was his answer. He knew he wouldn't make it on his own. Conner would. He knew he could. He wasn't scared like the doctor was or like Norman and Dawn were. Conner didn't really get scared anymore. He never really got scared.... But used too, he'd get at least a little worried. But being in this hospital... He didn't even care anymore. The only person really on his side was Norman.

He just didn't care anymore. "Conner, We can't just leave." Norman explained, running his fingers through his hair with great frustration. "And Why not? We can do /Anything/ we set our minds too." Conner replied, being totally serious. Usually when he said something like that... There'd be a whimsical and light tone to his voice... But now it was heavy and serious. Maybe even a little bit cold.

It bothered Norman. The way these people had changed Conner.

"Conner we can't just leave. They'll catch us. I know they will. I can-"

"Norman." Conner softly said. "They won't catch you. I promise." He softly said. "I won't let them catch you."

Conner liked Norman a lot. In a month, Norman had become a little brother to Conner. Norman had taken beatings for Conner from Dawn a least four times with out telling the slightly older redhead that he was doing it. The most recent time was this morning. Conner had apparently "misused" appliances but Norman took the blame. When Conner saw him, he nearly started crying. He told him not to do that. But Conner loved the boy. And Vowed to help him get away.

Later that day, they got dressed in normal clothes and snuck down to the first floor. As soon as they opened the front door they were running. Running as fast as they could.

There were walker everywhere... But somehow, they were getting past them just fine. Until a swarm of them blocked Conner in. Norman turned back and panicked a little. "Conner!!!" He yelled. "Go!" Conner yelled. "Go Run Go!"

Norman's eyes filled with tears as he tried to decided what to do. "B-but... I..."

"Norman! Go! Now!" Conner yelled. Suddenly, Conner felt himself being pushed to the ground... A few of the police officers had tackled him and cuffed him. "Trying to get away huh, McKinley? Fat chance. Not today." The nicer one said. One that actually cared about conner a little. The other one yanked him to his feet. Conner smiled a little when he saw Norman sprinting away. He was going to get away. Thank god.

When they got him inside, Dawn said that his punishment would be a little different this time. She took all the posession he had. All he had, other than his clothes.... Was his house keys... Why? Because on it there was a keychain that had a picture of him, Kevin, Kaylee and Their friends. It was a small picture. But somehow they were all in it. They were all smiling and happy. It was all he had left of them and she took it. She then just left alone in a room.

Soon after a very rude police officer came in. "What do you want?" Conner muttered. "I want you." He said.

Conner made eye contact with the man, Clearly very confused and not happy. "What the hell are you talking about?"
