Chapter 14

I sat down on the stool with the guitar ready in place.
I started the gentle guitar melody. Strumming the notes perfectly.
I glanced at Levi and he nodded to me, he was gonna start singing with me.
"So long to all my friends." We sang together, our voices mixing together strikingly.
"Everyone of them met tragic ends." We continued together
"With every passing day, I'd be lying if I didn't say," I broke off on my own singing strongly
"That I miss them all tonight, and if they only knew what I would say," Levi joined back in with me.
Our voices sounded warm, soothing, and strong.
"If I could be with you tonight, I would sing you to sleep," I jerked my arm back and forth so I could play the notes, bouncing my leg with the beat.
"Never let them take the light behind your eyes." Levi began slowly playing the piano, matching the beat of the song.
"One day I'll loose this fight,"Levi started singing by himself, eyes closed, he was swaying with the song, his fingers dancing a crossed the keys of the instrument.
"As we fade in the dark, just remember you will always burn as bright" we sang strongly together, my voice mixing well with his.
I strummed the guitar softly, closing my eyes I began swaying with the song.

"The Light Behind Your Eyes!" We finished the song with a huge triumph.
The guitar and piano fading as the song came to a halt and the crowd erupted with screaming
cheering and clapping.
I bowed next to Levi and we laughed looking at each other.
We sat down and stared at Christa and Ymir, seemingly happy to have a free performanc.
"So, I just have to ask, who is more dominant when it comes down to everyday life? You know arguments, cleaning, and meeting new people." I nodded towards Levi to show he should answer.
"Well, in arguments it changes a lot, cleaning, I am, and meeting new people, I usually greet and introduce, but that's probably because I know these people. But I guess we'll find out when I meet her family." He stated calmly.
I laughed a little at his explanation.

The interview continued for about another hour, filled with a lot of questions.
"And for our last question, we know that this is an arranged marriage. But do you really have feelings for each other?" Christa asked daringly, finishing off with an expecting glance towards Levi and I.
I looked toward Levi who look to be in deep thought, I guess I'll start.
"Umm-" I was cut off when Levi started talking
"Alex is a stupid fucking brat. She's messy, has no manners, and has a long list of profanities that she uses on a daily basis."I stared shocked at Levi, tears began to well up in my eyes. It wasn't even that hurtful, just the fact that he said it made me want to cry.I stood to run off the stage.
A hand wrapped around my wrist before I cut take off.
"But, I love that stupid fucking brat, I love the fact that she's messy, I love how she has no manners around people she's comfortable around, I love the fact that she can match my mouth in an argument, and I also love the fact that she is not afraid to stand up to me, yell at me, throw things at me, and boss me around. I love that she talks to me like I am her best friend and we have known each other for our entire lives. I love everything about her, her personality, her language, and her eyes, I love how one is green and the other is brown, it suits her mismatched personality.And I'll say it again I love this stupid fucking brat."
Levi said while tears began to spill out of my eyes. Levi was blushing and looking at me dead in the eye, and not cursing at me directly.
"I-I-I." I stuttered helplessly as I heard some distant 'aaawwwwssss' coming form the crowd and Christa.
All I could hear clearly though was Levi's words repeating over and over again in my head, I stared wide eyed down at Levi.
I finally regained control of my senses and pulled Levi from the sofa.
He stood looking down at me, with hopeful eyes.
I slapped him.
The sound echoes around the large stage area.
Gasps were heard then finally,
The crowd goes silent.
The whole room is silent.
Christa gasps.
Ymir had a smirk on her face.
The 'aawwwsss' melted into to dead agonizing silence.
Levi's eyes were wide, his sparkling grey orbs stared back down at me as he held the cheek that was slapped, his jaw hung loose.
He removed his hand and everyone saw a clear red smack mark that was in the shape of a hand.
He looked like he was about to cry.
A single tear slid down his cheek.
I don't think it was from the slap, I think he thinks that I rejected him.
I can't take it anymore.
I grabbed Levi's face and smashed our lips together.
The crowd erupts into a chorus of 'aawwwsss' once again.
I pulled apart from Levi and focussed my multicolored gaze at the tear on his red cheek.
"I love everything about you too, I love your stoic face, I love your bitchy attitude, I love the fact that I got to see your dimples."I whispered the last part in his ear, a chuckle came from Levi.
"You had me scared for a minute there." He whispered back, causing me to laugh.
"I'm sorry I pimp slapped you." I apologized with a sad chuckle at the end.
"And here we have it, Lexi threw us for a loop there, tweet us what you thought about this episode, your thoughts on Lexi's duet, were they good or not? Did you have a near heart attack when Alex slapped Levi? Because I did!" Christa wrapped up the show quickly.
"You guys really scared me for a minute, I either almost cried or my heart stopped pumping." Christa stated as we all walked off the stage.
"Me too, I actually cried on stage for you, you stupid fucking brat." Levi wraps his arm around my shoulders.
"Sorry, but the suspense was needed, plus you probably got like a lot more views form all the drama. With Eren not here, our duet, and the slap, your ratings are going to skyrocket even higher." I reassured while we hopped in the car, waving to Christa and Ymir.
Today was a long day. The car door slammed shut and we started our journey back to the newly repaired mansion, Marcus said he would have the servants bring our belongs back.
"We should sing together more often." I said while offering a head phone to Levi, who accepted eagerly.
