~Lilys POV~
The mirror showed me the worst possible outcome. Rose was lying in a hospital bed with many machines attached to her. I screamed grabbed the side table lamp and chucked it with all my might against the mirror. Shattering glass sprinkled around my feet. I whipped out my cell and sent a text to Marcus
"Marcus. Please read this and dont delete it. I still love you and I swear on my life I will not kill you. But if you want to save Rose, you have to help me. I need you Marcus, don't leave me"
I sat on the edge if my bed gripping my phone tightly and waiting for the buzz and the short called of Olaf saying "we were just talking about you, all good things, all good things" I looked up at my Frozen poster and wished I could jump in there and hide away from all the troubles of the real world.
Suddenly my phone buzzed and before Olafs sentence was finished I was reading the message.
"Lily, if you still love me you better explain why you think I should believe you!"
Sighing I pulled my hair up into a messy crimson bun. I began to write my reply...
"Marcus, my family is the lead family of magic hunters. Noah and I were sent here because our family did not think it was a coincidence that the only school in the world with a magic library would have a headmaster Ivey. We were told that if we found Evelyn Iveys children we were to kill on sight. But when I made friends with Rose and she told me about it, we made a pact to not give away each others secrets. Then I fell in love with you. I promise I will not harm you, though I can not say the same for Noah. Please believe me baby"
As I pressed send I squished my eyes closed. With my eyes still closed I reached up and felt the magic finder necklace around my neck. Rubbing my thumb across its shiny metallic surface I tried to form a plan. Number one, save Rose. Number two, try and get Noah to move schools. Number three, put my parents of the Iveys scent.
Buzz buzz.
"I believe you. But we have to talk. Meet me in Miss McAffe's english classroom (G4) in 15."
I gave a huge sigh as I realised that he believed me. Now I need to get him to help me. I jumped of my bed and stumbled over to the closet. Yanking open the big double doors I peered in and decided what to wear.
I walked down the wide cobblestone paths in a pair of faded denim jorts {jeans + shorts} and the neon green tank that Rose had lent me the day before she disappeared. In my ears I had my new earphones blasting songs from the radio. I bobbed my head as I began to jog towards G block.
I slowly pushed the creaking door inwards to the classroom where is was meant to meet Marcus. I saw a handsome brunette staring out the window. "Oh, I'm sorry" I began "I was meant to meet my friend here" I turned to walk away when I heard a voice call my name. I quickly whipped my head around as I recognised that voice. It was Marcus.
After he told me about the events of the morning I knew what had happened. My mother is the only magic hunter I know that knows how to harness other magic hunters power. She must have set an elemental on Rose, where ever she is.
To explain the gas released in certain elementals can change the recipients hair and eye colour. Is the elemental was set on Rose it would also affect Marcus as they are two of one. That's a fancy technical term magic hunters use for twin magics. The magic alters the genetic multiplication of a magics hair and eye cells. Since Rose and Marcus have the same cell division meaning if Roses multiplies then so does Marcus's.
"How the heck do you know this?" Marcus almost screams at me as he grabs my arm. Shaken I stutter my answer. "Lily, I need your help. You're the only one..." Marcus began to whisper before my phone cut him off.
"All Blackers to report to sun room of Grala house. Urgent meeting required"
I swore under my breath as I knew this would not end well. "Marcus I gotta go. Keep me updated." Hurrying towards my dorm I started to panic. What if mum killed Rose? I would never forgive myself. I ripped of Roses shirt and swapped it for a dark purple Midriff. I also replaced my small gold friendship necklace with a chunky black choker. Pulling my magic finder necklace on top of my shirt I rushed out the door.
SLAM. I ran straight into someone. As I was flailing my arms a cold strong hand grabbed my wrist. I regained balance and looked into the eyes of Noah. My brother. His usual spark in his dark brown eyes were gone. They were misty as if he had lost something that he loved. Before I could question him he stuck his hand up. I knew not to ask. Silently he grabbed my hand and pulled me along the already silent hallways.
As we sat on the train side by side I again was going to ask what was wrong. And again he stopped me. I hung my head as I began to feel drowsy.
I felt a jerk as I slowly lifted my head of Noahs shoulder. "We're here" he whispered. Grabbing my bag I sat up straight, quickly composed myself and followed Noah out of the carriage. Grala house loomed in the distance and I breathed in the familiar air. I grew up here. It holds so many great memories, yet now I dread entering. Noah quickened his pace so I had to run to catch up with him. With thudding footsteps we raced each other to the door...
