Robbie's POV

A few weeks after our "girlfriend - boyfriend bonding time", I went back to Max's house, but this time, it wasn't for her to take care of me. It became easier to breathe, so I no longer needed that machine. I just needed to make sure I didn't move around too much at one time. I knocked on the door and a few seconds later, Max opened the door.

Max: Oh, hi, Robbie.

Me: Hey.

Max: Well, get in here!

I chuckled as she grabbed my hand and dragged me inside. She led me to the kitchen, where she handed me a glass of water.

Max: So...do you have a specific reason for coming or was this just a...nice surprise.

Me: I have two reasons. One is I wanted to see you. Two...I have a question.

Max: Shoot.

Me: My mom invited me for a family dinner. My parents and my sisters will be there. I was wondering if you would come.

Her eyes widened. I kinda expected that.

Max: Oh...wow.

Me: Well, I figured I already know your parents and brother-

Max: You know my parents?

Me: Well, I've talked to them. Once. Well, I've been in their presence. They basically know nothing about me, but it's the same thing.

Max: It's really not.

We laughed and I felt nervous that she hadn't answered yet. Did I move too fast?

Max: I'd love to.

Me: Huh?

Max: I'd love to come to your family dinner.

Me: Wait, seriously? Oh, wow. I kinda wasn't expecting that. I mean I'm glad, but I thought I was maybe moving too fast or that maybe you didn't like me that much, but....wow. Seriously?

She giggled.

Max: Yes, you dork.

She kissed my cheek. As she was about to walk away, I grabbed her wrist, spun her back around, wrapped my arms around her waist, and kissed her passionately. She immediately kissed back, making me smile against her lips. Our lips moved in perfect sync. Hers fit with mine like thdy were made for me. She moved her hands to hold each side of my neck. I licked her lip, begging for entrance, which she denied by pulling away. I pouted, but she smiled.

Max: Jared is still here.

Me: So? We're together because of him.

Max: Exactly. The least we can do is not make out in front of him.

Me: Isn't he in the room?

Max: But what if he comes out?

Me: What if I dropped dead right now? You'd have to live with the regret of not making out with me when you had the chance.

She giggled.

Max: You really are a dork. Later OK?

She pecked my lips.

Me: Oh, but it's already too late for that. I'm dead, remembed?

She giggled again.

Me: God, I love that laugh.
