Robbie's POV
It took about an hour for Max to calm me down and another hour for her to convince me that we should stay for the honeymoon. As excited as I was to enjoy the honeymoon with the love of my life, I couldn't stop thinking about our baby. I kept trying to convince her to stay in the hotel. I offered to stay with her and watch movies, to take her down to the indoor pool, to take her to a spa. I wanted to keep her from anything that required to much work. I didn't want her to stress out over anything. She kept insisting that I was being ridiculous. She said we wouldn't have many opportunities to go to Paris again.
"Robbie, hun, please calm down. I'm okay and so is she." I had asked her (for about the tenth time in ten minutes) if she and the baby were feeling okay.
"Are you sure? I mean, you may know that you're okay but what about the baby. Maybe you just can't feel anything yet.
"Robbie, I don't know exactly when I got pregnant but I'm at least four months. If I'm not already five months, I'm close to it. I'd feel it if anything serious were going on with our baby. She is inside me after all."
"I know, I just...I really don't want anything to happen. We could have lost her before we even knew about her. After everything your dad and brother did to you-"
"They are not-"
"You know what I meant. They could have killed our daughter before we even knew about her. They could have killed you! I just...I don't wanna lose either of you." She wrapped her arms around me, resting her head against my chest. I rested my chin on her head and wrapped my arms around her waist. She drew circles on my chest with her finger.
"We're fine. I promise. Nothing is gonna happen to any of us. But staying locked up isn't healthy for either of us. And you constantly worrying isn't healthy for you."
"I know."
"It's the last day of our honeymoon. Let's try to enjoy it. Without worrying?"
"Okay."
---------------------------------------------------------------
As soon as we got home from Paris, Max fell asleep on out bed. I curled up next to her, resting my hand on her stomach as I fell asleep. When I woke up though, Max wasn't there. I walked into the living room. She was sitting on the couch with her laptop."Love, are you alright?"
"Yeah. Just...thought I'd learn as much about motherhood as possible. I don't wanna have to bug my mom about everything. Or yours." I sat next to her and pulled her close, looking at the website with her. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and felt how tense she was.
"Love, are you sure you're okay? You seem...off."
"Just...nervous. I don't want our parents to think we can't handle this. I want them to believe we can take care of her."
"If they don't, they'll help us. They're like that. Your parents and mine. They've never been the type to...neglect. Our parents are the least of our concerns. We have a few months to prepare ourselves for our first child. We have a lot to do and we don't have the full nine months like most people do. Our parents will accept us no matter what. So calm down."
"Okay. Okay, you're right. It'll be fine."
"But before we buy anything, we should talk to our parents. They could help us."
"Yeah. Yeah. We can go to your parents' tonight and mine tomorrow."
"I'll call my mum."
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey, mum. Hey, dad.""Robbie! Max! Hey!", mum greeted. We hugged and all sat in the living room, Camilla handed everyone their plate and we started dinner.
"Fiona, how's the new job?", I asked.
