I got the news about half passed 4. My niece walked in and said "Dee-Dee's not here anymore" I felt my world come crashing down. When I realized she wasn't gonna be around. I got home and looked at your house. I saw auntie Pameco. I saw your daughter. I made my way to the gate and stood there. I wanted to cry so bad. Auntie I never wanted you to die! Your sister, auntie Pameco, saw me and I ran over to her. She took me in her arms and held me close to her. She said "I'll be the Dee-Dee in your life now" I kept repeating "she can't be gone she can't be gone she just can't be!" She hugged me tighter and said "she's okay baby I promise! She was a fighter but she took her last punch. And it was the knock out punch." That night I cried myself to sleep scared of the coming weeks. I would be a senior soon and you wouldn't be there. I always modeled my outfits for you. You always did my hair. But I promised you when I saw you the day before (Wednesday) I'll graduate. I promise you I will do that.
