Chapter 2
Mary-Anne pov
Waking up on the front porch, disorientated: not knowing which is worse my headache or not knowing where I am. I tried standing up but Joey was lying on me, snoring. I finally got her of me and stood up. Damn I’m really dizzy. I am never drinking again. I kicked Joey gently to wake her up, she woke up with a start looked at me and kicked me, hard making me step back. Bitch. “What did you do that for?” Was it really necessary for her to kick me back and so hard? She looked back at me with a duh look on her face. “I was kind of disorientated at first but then I realized you kicked me. Oh and I’m so sorry bubbly girl that you have amnesia seeing as how you can’t remember the fact that you kicked me. Maybe you belong in a home cause you sure do look like you need the care.” She smirked at me and stood stretching. I almost growled at her, she is so frustrating. “Oh I’m feeling the love sis, but don’t worry we won’t be together much longer cause there is no way that our parents will keep up this joke of a marriage. Oh yeah and seeing as how we are sister for the time being, you are going to be the locked out sister. I quickly ran to the door, she saw me doing it and pulled me back by my hair, putting her foot in front of me. I lunged at her, tangling out legs together causing us to fall on the floor just passed the door. She gave me one more shove and huffed. “You are such a bitch, and FYI you will not be the only one trying to break up this joke of a marriage. There is no way my daddy is going to stay with you money gabbing whore of a mother. “Shut your mouth ginger, you may be able to kick my ass but you better know I fight dirty. And don’t dare you say anything about my mother ever again.” I walked passed her shoving her shoulder as I went. I turned to go right only to remember that I now live in a new house, how my mom can be so serious about this guy. I hate it here already; Joey is just making it worse. I will make her pay for the comment she made about my mother. I stood staring at the new house from the foyer, I look into the big open-plan kitchen with a dining room next to it and a 2 doors leading to what I believe to be a garage and basement spanning the width of the house. The TV room to my right, with a long hall next to it that will probably have rooms through doors lining it. I walked down the hall opening all the doors to see what lies behind them. When I’m done I found that there are 4 rooms and 4 bathrooms with the master bedroom being one of them. I made my way to the beginning of the hall, and saw Joey lying on the couch snoring again. Damn than girl can snore. I took the stairs two at a time making it to the top quickly. I spotted 4 open doors. All of them being rooms. With three of them with bathrooms. I immediately fell in love with a room on the second floor with a big balcony overlooking the back yard. The yard is so big and beautiful with a manicured lawn and flowers blooming everywhere. Further away I see stalls for horses near a wooded area of our property that what I can only think will be acres and acres worth of land. Below me I also see a big ass pool and a big Jacuzzi.
I headed back downstairs to where the devil incarnate as we will probably need to start getting ready for school, only to see her up already telling the movers who probably arrived during my exploring where to put all the boxes. Thank goodness it finally arrived. Now I can move some of my stuff into the room I want with the beautiful view, leaving Joey the one with the smaller balcony and less sunlight, I’m sure she will appreciate the darker light. My stomach growled making itself known and the fact that I haven’t eaten since before the wedding. I opened all the cupboards to find them empty, as well as the fridge. When I opened the drawers in the kitchen island I saw a note from mom saying that our school uniforms are in the hall closet with our school supplies, that the movers will bring our boxes today, she and the step parental will be back in a few weeks. Great mom you thought of everything except food. I got our uniforms that where on hangers with covers over them form the closet and made way upstairs again looking for Joey to tell her we need to leave if we want to get something to eat before school. Ugh. I shiver just thinking about our new school. I find her in the room I thought she would take. The dark and gloomy one. Just like her. She has her black IPod earphones in her ears, sitting on the floor. I tried getting her attention but she really didn’t hear me or just chose to ignore me. I finally walked up to her and pulled one bud out. “I know you’re making it look like your beyond busy but, we need to start getting ready for school and we have no food so we need to go get some. “ Wow skinny bitch, didn’t think you would care much for eating.” She stood up and gave me the same smirk as earlier. “Sure we can go grab something before we have to report to prison. Oh and you really surprised me, wanting to be seen in public with me, shocker.” I scowled back at her. “You are so frustrating and irritating, would you just get ready so we can go.” I turned on my heal heading to my room, but turned back to her, “and oh here’s your uniform and don’t bother waistin’ your breath with a half assed thank you, I already know you don’t have manners.” I heard her grumbling about something behind me, but could only make out cuss words; I ignored her throwing my uniform still in the bag on my bed and went to take a shower.
I tapped my foot as I was waiting for Joey to come down the stairs. She is taking beyond long to get ready. My ugly shoes made a clicking noise with every tap. Damn this uniform is ugly. Joey finally came down the stairs, her hair in a messy bun, grumbling about her uniform. At least I’m not suffering alone. She walked passed me into the garage, through the door next to the basement. And stood next to my Ferrari. I just gave her an exasperated look and unlocked the doors, why did she need to drive with me. “So why are you in my car.” She just gave me a look and then looked in front of her again. “Just drive”
Walking into the restaurant I see Joey already waiting at a table, she was really fast to leave my car as soon as I stopped, jumping out and slamming my babies’ door. I walked toward her and sat down in the softest seats ever. And gave my order to the waiter who followed me to my seat right after Joey gave hers. She stared at the salt and pepper shakers for a minute and then looked at me. “Ok, Mary what are we doing today?” what kind of question is that. “What do you mean.” She gave me one of her looks again, what is with her? “I meant, when we get to school, what are we going to do, cause we are not hanging out as “pals” or sisters or anything.” What did she think I would actually want to hang out with her? “We are going to school, and taking our separate ways as soon as we get there and make like the other does not exist. Oh and get this day over and done with.” Cause there really is no way that I’m hanging out with her. This breakfast couldn’t have been more awkward, thank goodness it’s over. We got back into my car, and started driving, following the GPS to the school. I think this is going to be on hell of a journey. First things first….. Getting to school without strangling my passenger.
