Chapter 3

A/N Hello dear earthling, there's not much in this chapter but you get some answers.  And yeah, Violet blacks out a lot doesn't she ;) Okay so here's chapter 3~

“Viiiioleeeeett” I heard someone dragging my name in a sinister way. Who is this? Where am I? What’s going on? A thousand questions flooded my mind but I couldn’t seem to get the answer to any.

“Oh Violet, what a pity your pretty face won’t last long.”

What? I was getting queasy and nervous. Who was this? What did she want with me? I tried to speak up but my voice stayed suppressed in my throat. I was engulfed in silence.

“Now, now Violet, don’t strain yourself. I’m sure you don’t want to hurt yourself.”

Now she was getting on my nerves. What was she even thinking?

“Aw am I upsetting poor Violet? Don’t be angry dear, and don’t worry, I’m thinking perfectly straight.”

So she can read my mind or is she just guessing? God, this is messing my brain up. I didn’t want to be in her presence anymore so I tried to fight against her. Something wasn’t right but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. Strangely, I felt myself slip away and I could hear her evil laughter echoing through everywhere. She started saying something what sounded like “Until we meet again, prin…” but before she could finish her sentence, I once again blacked out.

“Miss Alverez, Mr Blake, we have arrived at our destination. Please awaken. The luggage has already been unloaded and sent to your rooms for you.”

Who was this talking in posh, proper English? Didn’t sound like the rude man who literally shoved us into the car at the airport. Speaking of, where were we? The last thing I remember was blacking out and oh my god… I remember being harassed by a woman, a sinister, evil woman. I have to figure out what that meant but I have a feeling it isn’t going to be good.

“AH! Miss Alverez! Mr Blake! Welcome to Moonstone Academy! I am the principal of the school, Lisa VanHoughten. I assure you; we will provide the best and make sure that you lack nothing!”

What the heck? I figured out that we were at the academy that our parents insisted on sending us to but why were we being treated like we were… significant? Weren’t we just two other students starting Year 1 of college? Nate looked just as confused and we stared back at the principal, with a bemused expression.

“Oh. I presume your parents haven’t told you yet then? Well, come along; let’s call them because I surely shouldn’t be the one to be breaking this to you.”

What was she even thinking? I think I’ve asked that somewhere before but anyways, she looked so fidgety around us and I’m just wondering if she is scared that we are trouble. Well then, let me tell you, Miss VanHoughten, Nate and I are perfectly well behaved. She led us into her office and called my mother. Why mine?! Why not Nate’s?! Whatever, not like it matters because they are all going to be there regardless. Nate and I took a seat and stared down at the speaker phone, not quite sure what to expect.

“Hello? Lisa? Is that you? How are Violet and Nate?”

Shocker number two: My mum knows the principal well enough to call her by her first name. I have to be extra careful of what I do here or I might get told on. My life.

“Mom…? What’s going on? Is there something you need to tell me and Nate?”

“Hello dear, yes… there is quite something I have to say…”
