What was she doing?! She was going to kill me! I was honestly terrified of her right now because her wand is powerful and the magic is powerful. Especially since this is a defence, or should I say destruction spell, the magic could kill me. Did she realise that? I stared at her with pleading eyes, wanting her to put the wand down. She didn’t look like the Violet I know, she looked almost… inhuman. I slowly stepped forward and tried to talk to her. Obviously Dylan wouldn’t have it and started screaming his head off.
“NATHANIEL DONOVAN BLAKE WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? STEP BACK THIS INSTANT.”
LIKE PENGUIN PLEASE, I AM THE CROWN PRINCE OF ACELANIA. NOBODY TELLS ME WHAT TO DO.
“SHUT UP DYLAN. YOU STUPID CRAZY BLOND, DON’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, I’M YOUR PRINCE.”
“Sorry prince but I am your protector, I can’t let anything happen to you.”
“Don’t worry Dylan, my girlfriend is not going to hurt me.”
“Right now she is not exactly in the state of mind to know you’re her boyfriend not to kill you.”
“I get that, besides, what makes you think I am going to let some freak take over my girlfriend, let alone hurt myself?” With that I inched forward and stood right in front of Violet, her wand tip nearly touching my stomach. One wrong move and I’m dead.
“Violet, listen to me. Try to fight back and don’t let Eris take control over you. Vi I know you can hear me, just try to fight, please.”
I could see her stance wavering, Eris was losing.
“That’s it Violet, fight. I know you and you are not a quitter. You don’t give up easily and you don’t ever let anyone control you. Eris is no match for you, Violet. You are more powerful than her so please dear, fight with all you’ve got.”
It was working. God’s grace, Eris was slowly losing control. I stood still and watched Violet have someone else controlling her and her trying to fight back. The whole field was deathly quiet; you could hear a pin drop. We all silently waited for Violet to come back to us. After a few second, she fell and I caught her before she hit the ground.
“I’m sorry” was all she said before she passed out in my arms.
Violet’s POV
I could hear Nate talking to me and I could hear him saying fight. And so I did. I fought with all my strength against sickening Eris. I was sick and tired of her nonsense and it was about time. I’d had enough. I struggled against her and willed her to get the hell lost. Obviously it wasn’t easy; you’d have to be a blockhead not to know that. Eventually I could feel Eris losing, I was gaining control. I continued the struggle and after what seemed like a million light years, I won. Eris left but all that fighting had drained me of all my energy and I fell limp. Luckily Nate caught me before I hit the ground.
“I’m sorry” I said before I passed out.
“How could you? You promised. You promised Violet. Why did you break it? I thought we were best friends. Does that even mean anything to you?”
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I really didn’t mean to. It was just an on impulse thing. I wasn’t even thinking clearly; please don’t be mad at me. I am really truly sorry, I won’t do it again. I promise.”
“Another promise? Would you really keep it this time Violet? You know I am doing this for you, not for anybody else.”
“Yes. I will keep it. I am not going to break it even if my life was on the line. Start counting, because there’s still time.”
