Chapter 2

"Hi! Are you new in BTS?" she asked.

Whut

"Areum, you don't remember Jung-" J-hope started but was cut off by someone.

"AREUM!" a women yelled sternly. She looked older than most of us.

"I gotta go, guys. It was nice meeting you guys again!" she said as she ran off.

But the women didn't walk with her. Instead, she walked towards us.

UNKNOWN PERSON POV

I was going to pick up Areum, but I saw her talking to some guys. A group of guys.

BTS

"AREUM!" I yelled.

All of their attention went on me. Areum waved at them as she ran towards me.

I told her, "Go to mom. I'm gonna have a talk with your friends," as I walked towards them.

"So you're BTS," I said with my arms crossed.

"Yes, we are," Namjoon said.

"Stay away from Areum. Especially you, Jeon Jungkook" I said as I pointed at Jungkook.

"Yah, exactly who are you to be talking to us like that?" Namjoon said.

"Yah?" I scoffed, "For your information, I'm OLDER than you. And I'm Areum's older sister,

Kim Hyori."

"W-why doesn't she remember me?" Jungkook said.

"Oh yes, I know why. I just can't believe it's you," I said, "three months after we moved, Areum roamed the neighborhood by herself. At that time, she was in depression...

//FLASHBACK//

"Areum-ah, are you sure you want to go alone?" I asked.

"Yeah... it's fine..." she said. It's been weeks since the incident. Weeks of her not smiling or laughing. She refuses to eat nor get out of her room. But now, she wants to go out, which seems a bit weird.

"Ok... be careful," I said.

When she went out, I went out too to buy some groceries. When I was walking down the road, many blocks away from home, I saw Areum walking down on the street. Happy to see her, I walked faster to her to do something fun with her. Suddenly, I saw a truck speeding down the road. I ran frantically, but couldn't run that fast. "AREUM! AREUM!!" I screamed. But it was too late.

Blood was everywhere. Areum was lying down on the floor unconcious.

I just saw my youngest and only sister get hit by a truck.
 
...AT THE HOSPITAL...

She was in surgery for four hours. Finally, it was successful.

"DOCTOR! IS MY DAUGHER OK?!?! PLEASE SAY THAT SHE IS!" my mom said frantically.

"Her condition is good, however her mind is not. Her head was hit on the brain of her memories and her active thinking. Overall, whatever she was thinking about, she will forget it all in her memories," the doctor said.

What if she was thinking about mom and I? Am I going to lose her?

A week later, she finally woke up.

"AREUM!" I said happily.

"Hey Hyori, what happened?" She asked.

"Nothing, Areum-ah. You don't have to know," I said as I hugged her.

I started to name people that she may know.

"Name all of BTS," I said.

"Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, and Kim Taehyung. Six people," she said with a smile. It's been forever since I saw my younger sister smile. But, she never said Jeon Jungkook.

"That's it?" I asked just to make sure.

"Yeah. Who else is there?" She asked.

No one. No one at all.

After she was discharged from the hospital, she became more herself again; more laughter, more smiles, more talkative.

It's all because she forgot about Jeon Jungkook that she forgot her pain.

//FLASHBACK ENDS//

"She is so much happier when she forgot about the pain. When she forgot about YOU," I said to Jungkook, "After that day, I promised myself that she will never remember you again. But if she does because of you guys, there will be you to be blamed again. We wouldn't want that, right?"

Everyone stayed quiet.

"It was nice having this talk," I said as I started to walk away, "I hope you guys understand for the sake of my sister."

JUNGKOOK POV

It was all my fault. It was all my fault. It was all my fault.

She doesn't talk to BTS anymore because of me.

She went into depression because of me.

She got hit by that truck because of me.

She forgot me because of me.

I guess I deserve that though.

It's true, Areum was better off without me. She is so much happier without me.

But why do I still feel pain inside of me?
