11:26 PM-April 14, 1912

I took my suit and followed my mother into the Grand Staircase. She was very mad at me for such a small mistake, but what may seem trivial to me might be important to her as a parent. I should have rewound time as soon as I saw the look of disapproval on her expression.

"I'm sorry for being such an arse all this time. I'm sorry for not spending much time with you and Justine during our trip. I'm sorry for disappointing you and being so inconsiderate and irresponsible towards you both. There's just been so many things happening, one after the other, that I lost track of what was truly important. Hear my words and please forgive me."

As soon as I said these sincere words to her and Justine, she turned back and hugged me.

"Oh, Edward you are breaking my heart. You haven't disappointed me in any way, you are a wonderful son-"

"And brother," interrupted my sister smiling.

"That is also true-continued my mother-, I am proud of you, and I'm sorry for not asking you enough what was wrong. Now tell me, what has been troubling you so much? What's been making you act so strange?"

"Well mother, I never told you before because I thought you would not believe me and you'd think I was going mad."

"Oh son, I would never think that, you look pretty sane to me and you're not even seasick. Now tell me what is it?"

"Yes, tell us," said the intrigued Justine.

We continued to walk towards the second class dining room which was still far ahead as we exited the staircase and walked into the main deck. The night sky was very clear and dark, full of stars. The calm ocean reflected it just like in the vision I had before discovering my power. Was this an omen of what was about to happen? I was terrified, but I continued talking nevertheless.

"During our second day on the Titanic, I had a very strange vision in which I woke up in a ship, with a sky full of stars and very calm waters just like today, and saw a much bigger one sink into the ocean below. It was scary and I could feel the cold and moist ambiance as if I had been there in real life. However, I could not see anything else because everything around me was very dark. Then, I woke up next to you and Justine in the second class dining room. That's why I looked so pale and startled when you asked me if everything was alright."

"That explains a lot, but was that all? Is there anything else you want to tell me? It sounds like you just had a simple nightmare. However, the problem is that I never saw you sleeping during dinner that day; and that, my child, worries me."

"No mother, that was not all, and I'm telling you, it was not a nightmare. If you are worried now, then I do not know what you'll think after I tell you what happened next. Remember Jane? The girl I met the first day?"

"Yes, I do. She was the definition of trouble."

"Well, we had arranged to meet every day after dinner, and that day when I said I needed some fresh air, I found her looking at the view and seemed lost in her thoughts. I called her, but she did not answer and left. Then later on I found her in the stern's deck with the man that almost shot you."

"So you had already met the man and you didn't even stop, Edward..." My mother sighed.

"That's not important now mother, what's important is that I saw him shoot her, I saw the girl die."

"What do you mean you saw her die? She was here just yesterday!" My mother looked very shocked.

"That's where things got tricky, I remember screaming and reaching out with my hand, and then everything turned black and I was back in the dining room with you. I thought everything I had experienced so far was a dream, but when I heard you saying the same words you had said before, I got so shaken that I dropped a glass cup on the table to the floor and broke it into pieces."

"Edward I didn't see any of this, you say you broke a glass cup?"

"Yes mother, that's when I realized I had powers. I thought I was going mad, but I rewound time and observed with my own eyes as the cup pulled itself together again and went back to the table."

"How is that possible? I cannot believe what you are saying, can you prove it to me somehow?"

"Yes, Edward, show us!" My sister seemed rather amused by my story.

"Alright, let me think. Since I can see things that will happen in the future and rewind, I suggest we wait to see what happens over the next 30 seconds, then I'll predict three events that will happen. Does that sound good enough for you to believe me?"

"Yes, go ahead."

We had already gotten to the stern deck, so we stopped for my little experiment. I looked around carefully, I did not want a single detail to escape from my sight. I saw a man smoking a cigarette on the higher floor's deck. He finished and threw it to the water, but instead it fell next to us. Then, a strong gust of wind blew so hard that it made one of the boats attached to the ship turn in a complete 360 degree angle. Finally, I heard the bells of the ship ring loudly, I figured that the sailors were probably signaling that it was 11:30 already, although it was odd. I rewound all the way back to when I said I would predict the three events and told my mother and sister.

"Okay, listen carefully, see that man over there?" I pointed with my finger at the man smoking. "That man will now throw his cigarette at the water but it will fall next to us instead."

My mother and sister saw what happened and seemed a bit impressed.

"What's next?" Said Justine.

"Now, a cold gust of wind will make that boat over there turn completely in a circle."

They saw it happen and opened their eyes very wide.

"And you will hear the sound of the ship's bells in 3, 2, 1..."

As soon as I finished my counting, the bells rang loudly.

"Edward Forrester! You are telling the truth! You definitively have something out of this world in you, but I still can't imagine how this is possible."

"I can't believe it eith-"

A loud crash along with a screech sound ominously came from the bow of the Titanic. The crash caused a big trembling in the deck. I heard as the sailors yelled:

"Iceberg, iceberg!"

My mother and sister fell to the ground, I wasn't so lucky. I remember I slipped and fell back towards the metal rail of the ship, hitting my head. Then, everything went black.

I woke up in the same ship from my first vision, I stood up and walked towards the rails. It all looked much clearer now, the ship I had seen sinking in my vision was the Titanic. I heard people screaming and voices echoing. The vision had been a warning all along, a warning that the ship I was in was about to sink and I had to do something before it all happened. I heard a faint voice that sounded like my mother calling my name in the distance. It felt as if it was getting closer and louder every time.

"Edward...Edward...Edward...Edward! Wake up!"

I opened my eyes again to see my mother screaming my name in despair and Justine crying afraid. The Titanic was officially sinking, and I had to save my family from this tragedy.

"Edward, oh Edward thank god you are awake." She said bursting with tears.

"I'm fine mother, I'm here, there's nothing to worry about. What happened?"

"The ship hit an iceberg, we are sinking! What do we do?!"

I tried to rewind, but as soon as I used my power my head ached horribly. Nevertheless, I had to keep trying. I had to think of something, and quick.
