Hannah's POV
I walk out the doors to try and find Tanya. Luckily, I found her quite easy. She was just expecting me to come out. She was leaning against the wall near the door, probably daydreaming about Niall.
"Tanya," I say, snapping my fingers in front of her face to snap her out of her daydream.
"Huh?" She says shaking her head. "Oh sorry, Niall on the mind."
"Figures." I reply.
We walk out of the airport and I try to keep my mind off of what happened with Harry.
I just need to forget about him like I was trying to before. I mean I did tell him we would never be friends so I guess I need to stick with that right?
I haven't seen him in a few months, but he changed a lot. He cut his hair and definitely changed his style. He looked rather good. I mean I know I shouldn't be saying he looked good, but I'm not lying. He look really good.
Tanya and I walk to the cab that just pulled up in the parking lot. We put our suitcases in the trunk and get in the car.
"Where to?" the cab driver asks us.
"The apartment complex on Long Beach Blvd." Tanya replies to him.
The man nods his head and starts driving.
"So did you meet Niall?" I ask, slightly smirking at Tanya.
"Ugh, no. All those crazy ass fans pushed me away from him. I was so close like you don't even know."
"Yeah I understand."
"Wait? How?" Tanya asks.
"Umm. Well uh. Harry kinda talked to me."
"WHAT!?" Tanya yells so loud that the driver almost steers into another car.
"Tanya calm down!" I say, trying to calm her down.
"How can I calm down if my best friend met HARRY STYLES?"
"It's not that big a deal. Plus I just..." I cut myself off. "I don't know."
"What's wrong?" Tanya asks, probably noticing me slightly pouting my bottom lip.
I instantly start crying. I don't know why, I just cried. Luckily the driver didn't seem to care. I rest my head on Tanya and still cry into her shoulder. She rubs my head, trying to calm me down.
"What happened?" Tanya asks, with a soothing voice.
I know I should just trust Tanya and tell her. It's not like she's gonna tell everyone right? She wouldn't do that to me. She's my best friend.
"It started in senior year, when Harry Styles asked me out for the first time," I say, wiping under my eyes.
--------------------------------------------------
After I told Tanya what happened, she kind of just hugged me the rest of the car ride there.
When we finally arrived at the apartment building, we got out of the car and went to the trunk to grab out suitcases.
I walk up to the front window of the car and pay the taxi driver and then walk over to Tanya.
We walk into the building and go to the front desk. We tell the woman, who looked like she was in her late 30's, our names and apartment number and she gives us two keys.
We thank her and head to our apartment.
I look at Tanya as we walk up to the door. We both smile at each other. I stick my key in the doorknob and turn it. The door opens easily and we walk in.
It has a nice sized living room, a spacious kitchen, and two bedrooms. The only down part was that there was only one bathroom.
We walk in the apartment and go to our rooms to start to unpack our clothes. Our furniture was already in the place because we hired a company to put everything in it already.
When I finish unpacking, I walk into the living room to already find Tanya on the couch in front of the TV. Figures.
"Tanya I have to go to the photography building to start my job, I'll see you later okay?" I say to her.
"Oh okay! While you're out can you please buy some food at like Publix or something?"
"Yeah sure."
I grab my purse, my key, and my phone and head out the door.
The photography place isn't too far. It's only like two miles so I figured I would walk.
As I walk to the front of the apartment building, I see a crowd around the hotel across the street. It looks a lot like the one in the airport. Oh wait. One Direction must be staying there. Great.
I walk to the photography building. It's called "Rolland Photography."
I walk in and go to the front desk.
"Name?" The bitter old woman asks me.
"Hannah Clarke, I'm new."
"Go to room 231, your boss is waiting in there for you." She gives me a slight smile, but I can tell it's fake.
I go to room 231 and knock on the door. I hear an inaudible 'come in' so I open the door. When I walk in I find a woman, who looks like she is in her 30's. She has blonde hair that hangs a little lower than her shoulders. The name on her desk says 'Lynda Rolland.'
"Hi! I'm Lynda, you must be Hannah!" She says, in a very cheerful voice.
"Yes, I'm Hannah, nice to meet you Lynda," I reply.
She gets up from her chair and walks over to me. She gladly shakes my hand.
"So today I don't have a job for you yet, but I think there will be one tomorrow. I'm working on it. It's a very fun job if we get it. I think a young woman like you will enjoy it."
"Can you tell me what it is?" I ask her.
"You will find out tomorrow. And since it is your first job you must take it, I won't let you give it to someone else."
"Okay, I think I'll be fine with that."
