All eight element bearers were huddled around a table in Sugarcube Corner, sipping milkshakes. Cheddar and Cherry were stuffing their faces with pie.

"So, everypony had a good night's sleep?" Gala asked, setting down her vanilla milkshake. "No nightmares Meadow?"

The buttercream pegasus nodded politely, though inside she was replaying the horrible message.
No. She wasn't going to tell her friends. That would just worry them even more.

"Hey Meadow, do you wanna come to the park with me after this?" Blitz asked, nuzzling his marefriend gently.

"Of course!" Meadow replied. She needed something to take her mind off that note anyway...

-----------------------------------------------------------

Meadow returned after a fun filled day at the park with Blitz. In all honesty, she didn't think it would take that long, but nevertheless, it was fun.

The sun now dipped beneath the treetops, signalling the end of another day, and the arrival of the night.

Meadow quickly made a sandwich, before helping her sister with some algebra homework. Then she bid Ivy goodnight and made her way to her mother's room.

She slowly opened the bedroom door, the wooden frame creaking with age. Meadow peered inside to see Fluttershy staring at a patterned blanket the mare had wrapped herself in.

"Mum, I have dinner..." Meadow whispered, setting the tray with the sandwich onto the bedside table. Then, the young pegasus said goodnight and went to her room for some well-earned rest.

Meadow trotted into her room, just to be stopped dead in her tracks. Something was written on the wall in....blood?

Meadow gasped as she made out what it said.

Boo.

The door behind her locked itself. Meadow gulped, hooves shaking.
That's when she spotted the shadowy figure of a certain chimera.

"D....d...dad?" Meadow choked, backing away slowly, passing her bedside table and quickly snatching up her element.

"Have you missed me, Meadow?" Came her father's voice. "I've missed you..."

Meadow felt a lion paw run through her mane, not only alerting her of her dad's current position, but also sent chills up her spine.

"L....leave me alone. Leave Ivy alone. Leave Mum alone..." She stammered, glancing beside her to see a pair of red and yellow eyes staring at her.

Her father chuckled, the sound hollow, unlike his usual, cheerful laugh.
"You forget I'm your father, don't you Meadow?" Discord said, making his daughter wince. She didn't want him as a dad...not anymore.

"You forget I'm Fluttershy's husband, don't you, dear Meadow? Well, I am both those things, so I can't leave you alone now, can I?" Discord continued, circling the teenage pegasus, somehow earning delight from the way his daughter was reacting.

"You're not my dad. Your not mother's husband. You're a monster." Meadow muttered, her eyes stinging with tears.

"Sticks and stones, do you think I care what you think?" Discord replied, a smirk on his face. "You can't change who your parents are. You are always going to be a part of me. You are always going to be the daughter of the Lord of Chaos."

"No! I....I..." Meadow sighed, tears now spilling down her cheeks. Although, her father had threatened her, she somehow felt like she couldn't fight him. She still felt that, in her heart, she still loved him. How, she did not know.

Then, suddenly, she felt an eagle claw and lion paw wrap around her waist. She struggled, flailing her hooves, until she knew she couldn't win. Meadow, exhausted by the events of that day, fainted in her father's arms.

Discord sighed. "Why do you have to be so fiesty, hmm?"

And with a snap of his fingers, Discord and Meadow disappered.
