Rukia's POV:

I woke up to the sound of yelling downstairs. Karin and Isshin could be heard arguing. As I walked out the closet I noticed that Ichigo's bed was empty. Glancing at the clock on Ichigo's end table I scramble to get ready, grabbing my bag and rushing out of the house feeling embarrassed at having slept so late.

Why didn't Ichigo wake me? Why did he leave so early anyways? He always oversleeps, I thought as I ran. I stopped quickly to catch my breathe and check the time in my phone. When I arrived at school I made a mad dash down the halls, ignoring the weird looks I got from the other students as they headed to class, sliding into my seat a moment after the bell rang."

"Miss Kuchiki why are you late?" the teacher questioned in shock. Rukia was usually a good student and never late. Rukia bowed her head in shame and embarrassment.

"Sorry professor I overslept. It won't happen again I promise," I responded. I felt everyone's eyes on me as I sat down. I noticed Ichigo was in his seat. I wanted to go up to him and punch him. Why did he forget about me? Lately its like he doesn't even think about me anymore. He all of the sudden looked back at me as I gave him a mad stare. He mouthed out sorry. I turned and looked out the window ignoring him. I was so angry that I couldn't even look at him.

"Miss Kuchiki please pay attention. This will be your last warning for today. Even though you are usually a good student, next time I will have to give you detention," said the teacher. I focused on the lesson.

As the teacher spoke I felt something hit me. I saw a bawled up piece of paper on my desk. I set it aside trying to focus on the lesson. I didn't want to get in trouble and get detention. Again I felt another piece of paper hit me. As I looked up I noticed Ichigo signaling me to open it. Again I set it aside and continued on the lesson. Eventually Ichigo gave up trying to get my attention. Soon the bell rang letting us out for lunch.

As I walked outside I spotted Renji. I walked over to him and sat down next to him. We both began to eat our lunch in silence. Suddenly two orange heads sat down right in front of us.

"Rukia sorry I didn't wake you up. I had to wake up early to meet Orihime to get in some study time," Ichigo stated. I felt myself get angry all of the sudden. He never woke up early when I wanted to explore the world of the living or anything. Taking a deep breath I focused on calming myself before I did something I'd regret later.

"It's alright Ichigo," I said in my school girl voice while I smiled. I knew Ichigo got annoyed when I did that. I could tell from his facial expression that it was working.

Everyone else carried on with their usual conversations as they enjoyed their lunch. I looked over at Renji and noticed he was strangely quiet. He's been acting strange since yesterday's night.

"Renji you do know you can tell me anything right? We have been friends for a long time, so don't hide things from me," I said to him trying to make him talk. He just nodded his head and continued eating. His actions made me a little mad. Why wasn't he speaking to me?

"Tell me now what you had to tell me last night!" I exclaimed, causing everyone to look at the both of us. I gave a laugh causing everyone to continue with their conversations. As I looked over at Renji again I saw him laughing. It made me smile to see him happy now but it also made me mad how I just embarrassed myself yet again.
