"Are you sure you don't wanna be there?" Jude asked Connor about Callie's birthday party.

"Nah. I mean, we spent the entire weekend together and I won't really know anyone there," Connor said.

"Okay, well, I guess I'll see you at school," Jude said, kissing Connor on the cheek.

"Bye," Connor said.

"R u busy?" Jude texted Connor. He had just overheard Callie say that she didn't even want the party that he had worked so hard to throw for her.

"No. Why?" Connor answered.

"Can I come ovr?" Jude asked.

"Yea sure. Whats wrong?"

"Callie said she didnt even want this party and I went thru all this trouble to put it together."

"Aw babe Im sure she didnt mean it..." Connor insisted.

"Im still coming ovr."

Jude grabbed his bicycle helmet and jacket and walked down the stairs but was stopped by Callie.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"Connor's," Jude answered plainly.

"You're leaving my party?" Callie asked.

"The party you didn't want?" Jude snapped. Callie realized that Jude had overheard her and knew she had to explain. She didn't want all the attention, and she just couldn't remember the girl that once loved all of this.

"I guess I'll have to remember her for both of us," Jude said, smiling. He began to walk back outside, but stopped when he remember Connor.

"Hey sorry but I cant come... Callie and I talked it out..." Jude texted Connor.

"Im glad <3" Connor texted back. Jude smiled at his phone and began to type.

"I luv u," Jude typed, but erased it. He just couldn't do it. He meant it, but he couldn't say it. Not yet, anyways.
