Chapter 1

Jenna's POV

The last day of school just ended, and I couldn't wait to get home. For the summer I am goin to stay with my aunt Heather and my uncle Zack but the reason I am really excited is because I get to see my old cousin Alex that I haven't seen since I was 10 years old. "Hey Jenna" my mom said "you need to finish packing your things before it's time to go"."Okay mom" I said while heading upstairs to my room. As I entered my room , I threw my bag across the room and flopped down on my bed as I did so I heard footprints coming up the stairs , as I looked to see who it was and I relized it was my border collie Lexi."Hey girl, what you doin" I said to Lexi. Lexi ended up barking in responce to my question. "Come on , now help me pack my things" I said to her and before I could even get up she picked up my other bag and brought it to my side and then , gave me a lick on the palm of my hand."Okay, now lets start packing" I said as started to pack my things.

An hour later

"Well, I think that's the last of my things"I said to Lexi as she dropped something into the palm of my had "What is it girl?" I said I looked to see what it was. It was a locket that had her and my picture in it."Thank you Lexi , now I will never forget you this summer" I said to her. As I finished putting the necklace on , "Jen, their here." my mom yelled up the stairs." "Coming."I said while running down the stairs with Lexi at my heals" "Alex!" I yelled as I gave her a big hug "It's so great to see my cousin!"Alex said while hughing me as soon as she said that we were both out the door "Bye mom!" I yelled out of the car window. As soon as we en pulled away I new this was going to be an amazing summer.
