Chapter 4

Jenna's POV

We had been walking for a while and we did talk for a little but not for a long time. Then, Blake came to a sudden halt. "Okay, close your eyes". he said as I did as I was told and as I did so, I felt Blake put his hands on my shoulders to guide me to wherever he was taking me. "Okay, now open your eyes."he said while he removed his hands from my shoulders and as I removed my hands from my eyes I couldn't believe what I saw. I saw a picnic blanket with some food set out on it in the middle of a field. "So...do you like it." he asked me sounding very nervous. "I don't have the words." I stuttered. "Shall we?" he asked me. "I would love to." I said as we walked over to the blanket and sat down on it.

"How did you do this?" I asked in a suprised way. "All I can say is that I have my ways." was all he said while taking a bite out of a strawberry. "Would you like something to eat?" he asked my before taking the last bite of his strawberry. "Maybe 1 or 2 strawberries would be fine. Thank you." I said to him while he was handing me 2 strawberries. "Wow these are amazing." I said while taking the final bite out of my 2nd strawberry. "Would you like to take a walk." he asked me while standing up and started walking away from the blanket. "Sure. Why not." I said while I started after him. "Cool check it out." Blake said while walking faster and faster away from me. "What is it?" I ask curiously. "This is one of the most beautiful lates in these woods." Blake said while walking towards me. "It's beautiful." I say while sighing and look into the sunset.

All of a sudden I had an idea." Hey, Blake what's that over there?" I say pointing off into the distance. As soon as he turns around I jump and takle him on the ground. "What was that for?" Blake asked from underneath me. "I just wanted to have some fun with you." I said while getting off of him. But before I could get off of him he grabbed my arms and pulled me down back on top of him. "What was that for?" I ask him. "I just wanted to." Blake said to me. I realized are faces are just inches apart. "Hey, check it out." I say pointing up to the clouds. "What, is it this?" Blake asked while sitting up with me still on top of him. "The cloud looks like heart." I said while pointing at it. "Hey, that lookes like a chipmunk." he said while pointing at it. "Oh your right it does look like a chipmunk. " I say while pointing at it as well. "Look at the sun. Its beautiful." I say while the sun I is starting to set. All of a sudden thee was a slight breeze that came out now where. "That wind is cold." I say while starting to shiver a little bit. "Here. Take my jacket to keep warm." Blake said while putting his jacket on my shoulders to keep them warm. "Thank you." I say to him. While I said that, Blake moves closer and puts his arm around my shoulders. As he does that I suddenly put my head on his shouldr. Blake lookes down at me looking out at the sun set. "Its starting to get dark." he whispered into my ear. "Come on, lets head back to the blanket." I say while standing up as he does the same. "Shall we?" he asked me. "I would love to." I say while starting to walk away for him.

As we made our way back to the blanket, instead of silence the space between us was filled with talking. We didn't realize it until we were already back at our picnic. "Do you want to sit for a few?" Blake asked me while sitting down on the blanket. "Sure, why not." I said while sitting next to him. I didn't realize it until I notced I still had his jacket on. "Here, do you want your jacket back?" I ask him while starting to take it off. "No, you keep it on so you don't freeze." Blake said while moving closer to me and pulling the jacket back on ton my shoulders.

I didn't realize that I was a little tired so I rested my head on his shoulder. He noticed and looked down at me. "You okay?" he asked. "I'm fine, just a little tired thats all." I yawned. "I know a place that we can stay for the night." Blake said. "Its not that far from here." he said while standing up. "Come on, lets go."he gestured me to follow him. "I don't know what about my aunt and uncle they'll be worried." I say while starting to stand up. Blake all of a sudden pulls out his phone and hands it to me. "Here. Call them or Alex and tell them that you'll be back in the morning." Blake said while typing in there number and handing it back to me. I put the phone up to my ear and said "Its ringing." "Hello?" I here Alex say. "Hey Alex what are you doin?" I asked here. "Nothin, just watching T.V." she said back. "Okay, can you do me a favor?" I ask her. "Sure, what is it?" she asked me. "Can you ask aunt Heather or whoever is there if I can stay out stay the night with Blake." I tell her. "Sure,hold on I'll be back". she says. A few minutes go by before she answers. "She said it is okay and as long as you be careful."she said into the phone. "Okay thank you and see you tomorrow. Bye."I said into the phone." Bye." I here her say before she hangs back up. "So... what did she say?" Blake asked curiously. "She said I can as long as I becareful." I say while handing him his phone back. "Plus, I got everything cleaned up and in this basket. "Shall we be on our way?" I ask him. "I guess we should." he said while puting his arm around my shoulder and leading the way to wherever we are going....
