Chapter 13: Orders
Clauida's POV:
So what of I gave him a command? Earlier he had just shooed me away like fly, but now I was his main priority. Ok, maybe I was a little cold, but really Aqua was the one doing the talking.
Now he was standing before me, expecting me to feed him information, I honestly didn't care if he was my mate's father, I was still annoyed by him.
Noah's POV:
I never knew Clauida could be so straight forward and intimidating. She literally just ordered my father, the strong Alpha.
"Noah, you need to know something about my status..." My father thought to me, "I wasn't born into the alpha line, nor your mother. I have no alpha linage whatsoever."
Well this was shocking.
"I want a path from here back to pack territory. Make it pretty. Noah, take your stunned father back home, but then come back." Clauida's forceful voice resonated into my thoughts.
Not wanting to agitate my mate further, I tossed my head in my fathers direction, who quickly followed me back outside. He literally ran for the exit, sand flying behind him. He leapt thorough the exit which quickly sealed in front of me.
"Hey"
I jumped and quickly spun around. The warm sand slipping beneath me. Nobody was there, just the water. I heard a splash before my muzzle made contact with the warm sand.
"Sorry Noah, but your father already annoys me. " her sweet voice danced in my head.
I was resisting the complete urge to throw her off and mark her, but I knew Clauida wouldn't like that. Everywhere her silvery, blue paws made contact was like a sore spot. The electricity was racing through me, stunning me. She had no idea what she was doing to me. Thorn was howling on the inside as I fought for control with him. Clauida released me from her strong hold and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of disappointment.
Bernard's POV
It hurt to tell my son that his entire life was a lie. I had long since assumed that the prophecy was a fake, serves me right to get shoved out of my position. I would return to my average position within the pack, and I would no longer receive any special treatment or respect. I would be expected to serve and respect Clauida, my new alpha.
Maybe this is for the best.
I ran as fast as I could from the water wolf and her icy stare. Her command was a wake up call to my wolf, it had been a long time since he has been commanded. I was ordered to construct a path, and I would make sure it was the best path ever constructed.
