As I stared out the plane's window my thoughts brought me back to the day I found out about the opportunity and the fight that had a occurred with my father.

*Flashback*

I was breathless when I saw the Jurassic World and INgen logos on the letter head. I opened it almost tearing it apart.

'Dear miss Grant,

It is a pleasure to announce that we have picked you as one of the limited trainers as part of our velociraptor experiment. Enclosed are plane tickets and n advanced paycheck we expect you at the island in two weeks.

(A/N: We never learned Hoskins name in the movie so I just went generic and gave him the name Alan)

I screamed from excitement which caused dad to come running down the stairs.

"Eliza what's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing dad just I've been given the job oppurtunity of a lifetime!" I squealed again handing dad the letter. His eyes widened as he read it.

"There is no way you're going to that island Ellie!" He shouted.

"Why not because you're scared something will happen? This isn't that park from twenty two years ago dad! I'll be safe." I replied.

"I can't lose you like I lost your mother and that island will hurt you the same way it did us!"

"I'm not mom okay and you didn't lose her she barely even acknowledges me do you remember that? Or do you only remember the annual birthday and christmas present? I'm going dad I need this and you can support me or not but I am going."

*End flashback*

A tear fell down my cheek and I wiped it away dad would come around and when he did I would forgive him right now I was headed for Jurassic World. As we landed and got into the ferry my heart pounded faster and faster. I couldn't wait to be there. as we got to the docks I saw a jeep waiting for me.

"Dr. Eliza Grant?" The man asked in the jeep. I nodded. "I'm Barry it's a pleasure to meet you. Shall we go get you settled in?" He asked and I nodded once more.

"Yes, thank you." I replied we drove to the staff part of the hotel.

"The rest of our research team should be coming tomorrow but there's some reading about each of them in your room. It's a pleasure to meet you and have a good night Dr.Grant." Barry said and then left me to my own devices. I took out my phone and called dad. It went to his answering machine which still had our first recording on it.

"Hey you've read Allan-" The younger me cut him off. "And Eliza!" I shouted on the recording. "And Eliza Grant, we're not home right now but leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can." The recorder beeped.

"Hey dad it's Ellie, I just wanted to call and tell you I got here safe. The island is amazing and I wish you were here too, I'll call everyday and write too, I'm sorry about our fight and I can't wait to see you again. I love you, goodbye." I said and as I hung up a tear fell down my cheek again. I changed into some sweatpants and a hoodie before ordering room service and sitting down on my bead. the files for everyone were intricately detailed but one man that I'd be working with especially caught my eye. Owen Grady was a former navy man and for some reason I just couldn't wait to meet him. That night I I slept with no dreams and couldn't wait for tomorrow when we'd meet and perhaps some of the Raptors would be born.
