A/N OK guys, new short story! But trust me when I say by the end of this book, your questions will be answered....

Part 1~

Ashley Gold puckered her lips, slathered on yet another coat of cherry lip gloss, put on some more apricot blush to make sure it blended perfectly with her cream colored skin, then put both of her cosmetics (from the latest high street brand) back into her brand new, indigo-blue clutch, closing it with a snap. The silver logo glinted in the bathroom light as she turned on her heel and left the place. On most occasions, Ashley could almost always be seen flocked by a large group of girls, all sharing the same cold, unamused expression. Except for when she went to the bathroom. It was a rule that all her friends followed without questioning. It must have been because she didn't want to reveal her beauty tips.

She sauntered out of the bathroom and into the deserted hallways, her heels click-clacking and echoing across the hallway. It was strange, being alone and late to class. In a sense, she wished her friends were with her when Mr Palmira would reprimand her, so she wouldn't have to be late alone.

Finally, she reached the old history classroom, creaking the door open to see old Palmira sitting at the wooden desk, slowly clicking on the ancient school computer. He sighed as he turned his weary eyes toward her.

"Late again, Ms. Gold," he said heavily.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Mr Palmira, It's just that I--"

"I'm sorry, Ashley, but the rules do clearly mention that anyone who comes late to class more than 3 times in a row must have a detention."

"But I--" She started.

"Rules are rules, Ms Gold, so I'm afraid that you'll be joining Ms Pegsworth after school today." She whipped around, looking for who she would be stuck with. It was chubby Petunia, the girl with a pug face. She smiled at Ashley, who glared back.

"My father  won't be happy, you see, we have plans tod--"

"Well, I'm afraid you might have to miss these important plans if it comes to it, although I doubt it, because detention will only take an hour."

She glared knives at the old man. He was the only one who never fell for her father trick. Finally, she slammed her books down, and sat back down in her chair.
