Breeze entered the huge hall
Through wide, big windows
Inside, seated on a chair
Was a pianist with a smile
Fingers on the keys
Toes rythming to the music
Eyes watching her In her blue-white frock
As she swirled gracefully
About the slim white ballet shoes
He stopped the music, so did she
He resumed, and so did she
Practicing, they were
For a large audience.
It was his last, her's first.
They'd been doing so
For about a couple of full moons.
She glowed in the moonlight
And shined bright as the stars
But as he smiled, she fell
Broken, her ankle bone was.
She couldn't dance anymore,
The expert said, unfortunately
The practice was left incomplete,
So was his last performance,
And so was her first stage appearance.......
