Luke's POV

I found myself sitting in a cafe that Eva worked at, I was waiting for her shift to be over so I could stop eating my feelings away and express them instead.

"What's the matter?" Eva sat across from me at the table I was sitting at.

"My dad." I groaned, taking another bite of my slice of cake.

"Oh." She replied, and placed her hand on top of mine. "Do you want to talk about it?"

I nodded and waited a minute until she took her work apron off and sat down next to me.

"So...?" Eva looked at me.

"It's just that he doesn't understand anything about me!" I shouted. "He doesn't get that I'm gay!"

I was getting angrier and angrier as I told her the story of earlier.

"And he told me th-that I w-was a disgrace to our family." The tears began to spill over my eyelids. "But what if it is a phase? Am I just being stupid?"

She dropped an arm around my shoulders and gave me a napkin to wipe my eyes.

"Don't change your mind because of him," she began. "Your dad has no right to make you feel guilty, and you are not a disgrace to your family."

"But, what if I-"Eva cut me off.

"Luke, stop doubting yourself." She said. I got up to leave the café. "Where are you going?!"

"I'm getting on a bus." I growled.

I walked to the nearest bus stop which Calum had to be sitting at, having a smoke.

"Hey, fag." He laughed to himself. "Fag! Because I'm smoking!"

"Shut up!" I said, bursting into tears all over again.

"Woah, mate." He rolled his eyes at me. "Way to be sensitive. It was a joke!"

"Well I'm not laughing." I mumbled to myself.

My phone began ringing and I picked it up to see it was Ariana.

"Hey, Eva told me what happened." She sighed. "I'm sorry, Luke."

"You have nothing to be sorry for," I replied. "My dad is just a homophobic asshole."

"He'll learn to accept it eventually."

"He shouldn't have to learn to accept it!" I shouted and Calum's head shot up. "I'm his son! He's supposed to support my life choices!"

"I know but it must be hard for him."

"Why are being sympathetic for him!"

"Because I-"

I hung up because I got sick of her sticking up for my dad. She's my friend!

"Who was that on the phone?" Calum asked.

"Ariana." I sulked.

"Oh, really?" He smirked and bit his lip. As hot as he looked at that moment, it was making me uncomfortable. Fortunately the sound of Calum's phone saved me from having to say anything.

"Who is it?" I asked. He ignored me and picked up the phone."

"Hey, baby! Why are you crying? Shhh, it's okay. Sure, I'll be there in ten minutes? Bye!" Calum put the phone in his pocket and stood up.

"Who was it?" I asked again.

"It was Ari." He smirked. "You made her cry so I'm going to comfort her."
