Seventeen

For the nth time for the day, I read the note that Lucy handed me, it was from her distant relatives from Paris, it practically says that her relatives will take her because she doesn't have guardians anymore. With a stoic face I shifted my vision to her. I could see her eyes glimmering in delight because Paris was her dream country.

"So..." She asked, trying to control the excitement on her voice. I sighed, giving her a happy yet sad smile, Lucy wrinkled her eyebrows in response, "What? aren't you happy for me?" She asked, but I just shook my head, messing her hair a little bit before I rested my arm on her shoulder, "Of course I'm happy for you," I tried to sound ecstatic, but I couldn't hide the traces of sorrow in my voice, "But you're sad. Come on Natsu, I know you so well, our umbilical cord's connected that's why I know if there's wrong with you." Lucy said.

This time, I couldn't help but pull a pout on my lips, head's hanging low while my bangs cascades on my eyes, "You're leaving me." I murmured in a low voice, she was my best friend alright, of course I'll feel sad because she'll leave me behind. She's my partner in crime, I just couldn't get nor have someone to replace her. We share strong bond, just how could I prank others without my main man- or girl?

"Oh... Good point." I heard Lucy said, her voice suddenly became cheerless. I sighed, it was her dream place, even though people see Lucy as an annoying, little runt, a part of her still have this romantic side and she wanted to went to Paris one day, because it's the city of love. It was unbelievable but it's true, and I don't want to be the hindrance for her to achieve that dream of hers, "It's okay. You don't have to stay just for me. Dude, there's a better future waiting for you there." I said, letting out a genuine smile, "But still, can I have one last favor before you leave?" I asked.

"Sure, what it is?" She asked, looking at me with her copper like eyes, "Stay, until the last day of the field trip."

"Woah! We're finally here at Crocus!" Lucy yelled in ecstasy, "Okay students, since we're on the field trip, we'll roam the tourist spot in the Crocus, everyone partner yourselves into two," Mr. Wakaba said. I looked at Lucy, in which I found out she was also staring at me, wiggling my eyebrows up and down, she cling her hand on my arm, "Oops, not you two." Mr. Wakaba said, but Lucy and I looked at him intently, "But you said partner OURSELVES into two," Lucy reasoned but he just shook his head, now what's wrong with this perv teacher?

"Aww, come on. What do you think of us? That we're three? I know Lucy's fat but she's counted as one." I retorted, in which makes everyone who had heard laugh, I suddenly felt pain jolted on my head when Lucy hit me, "You guys were gonna prank others, that's why you two needs to be separated from one another." Mr. Wakaba said, "That's absurd! You're accusing us," I said holding my right chest where my heart's placed at, "Yeah. Didn't you get it that this field trip would be boring without us 'the prankster' and if you separate the two of us, we'll do anything just to be together, and it'll just ruin the whole trip." Lucy said before looking at me, "Now sir, you're in big trouble, you hurt his feeling, Natsu will tell this to Uncle Igneel you see." She added, motioning her index finger into a 'you're in big trouble' sign, I saw how Mr, Wakaba gulped, biting his lower lip as he clicked his tongue, Mr. Wakaba might think he's hot while doing the lip bite, but to be honest he looks like a maniac. I'm not insulting him, I'm just discribing him.
