∞ NINETEEN

I woke up when I once again heard my phone beeping. I snarled, thinking that it's once again my idiot of a best friend, Natsu. I grabbed my phone a nd without even looking at the name of the caller, I answered.

          "Just what is your problem—"

"Bon Matin, Lucy!" I froze when I registered the undeniably attractive French accent of the person from the other line.

"E-Eh? W-What did you just said, Lucy? You spoke in such fast Japanese I couldn't understand it and you sound angry! Did I do something wrong, aimer?" He was now speaking in English and aimer...a French word.

Right, Charles Villepin, her half English, half French lover.

"...Désolée, I thought you were my Japanesefriend who was pulling a prank on me," I laughed. "Where are we going to meetup today?"

"I'm going to pick you up today, princesse,"I could imagine Charles' large beam. "But I wanted to make sure you're alreadyawake, so see, it's a surprise morning call from your boyfriend!"

I intended to laugh, but I didn't. I could only remember Natsu's call half anhour ago.

"Hm,did you not like it, princesse?"Charles hummed thoughtfully. "I'm sorry, I won't do it again."

"I-It's nothing like that!" I laughed. "Just a little sleepy, teehee."

I met Charles days after I landed to Paris, France. My relatives introduced him to me, seeing that I have no friends here and I only have little knowledge with French. Charles can speak English, French and a little Japanese. I totally thought that he's amazing. Somehow, I couldn't help but thank my parents for my private English lessons when I was a child. It totally helped!

Anyway,we started dating a week after. I have not told this to my friends in Japan yet, but my relatives were truly happy and accepted Charles as my boyfriend. They even said that they wouldn't mind us getting married soon—which was reallyawkward for me while Charles looked embarrassedly happy with his burning cheeksand cute smile. It was probably because the Villepin family was well known for its money and pedigree—but of course; I didn't date him for that. Charles was a literal sunchild. He's cheerful, sweet and caring. He's the perfect boyfriend.

"I'll see you soon, princesse," Charles giggled from the other line. "Let's have a wonderful time today, too, alright? Je t'aime, ma chérie!"

         "Yes..."I cut the line.

        Today is another busy day!
