Chapter 16

{At The Hospital}

[Cameron's POV]

It's been almost 2 months since Soph has been in a coma and she's still in a coma. Couple of days my ass...

The doctor said that she did severely get hurt in the head, so when she hopefully wakes up she won't remember much.

I've been waiting in this hospital for 4 weeks by Sophia's side. When she wakes up, I want to be the first person she sees. 

The doctor said it may take a couple more days before she wakes up, but If she doesn't wake up in a couple of days, then she could stay in the coma for months or maybe even die. 

Nash brings me clothes everyday and the hospital is nice enough to let me shower at the hospital. The nurses bring me food too. But they always flirt with me. 

[Sophia's POV]

All I hear is crying, and LOTS of it. But why?

Wait.

Why is everything black? 

Why can't I see anything or move anything. I can't feel anything...

What's happening?

"I love you so much baby.."

Wait is that Cam? Why is he crying.

WHY CAN'T I OPEN MY EYES!

UGHHH!

Wait.

My arms.

I think I can move them a little.

Aye, I can move my arms!

Let's try my eyes now.

Nope. Nothing.

How about my mouth. 

It's moving, but nothing's coming out of it.

Wait a minute.

"H-h-h-e-llo?" I say.

"Huh?" I hear.

"Soph is that you?"

"OH MY GOD! Are you awake?!"

I feel something hug me and kiss my lips.

I still can't open my eyes.

"C-c-ca-m?" I say.

"Yes?"

"I-I-I can't o-ope-n my eyes."

"I'll get the doctor! Don't go anywhere." He says and I hear the door shut.

Hey Einstein? Where am I even gonna go? I CAN'T SEE!

Cam is the struggle.

I hear the door open and people talking.

"Okay Mr. Dallas. My hypothesis on why she can't open her eyes is that the glass must've went into her eyes." I hear someone say. Must be the doctor.

"So, is she blind?" I hear Cam ask.

"Not permanently, but temporarily."

"What do you mean?" I hear Cam say.

"Meaning, we may need to do some surgery to get the glass pieces out of her eyes."

"Is she gonna need to stay in the hospital longer then?" Cam asks.

"She can go home today, but keep her in bed. And don't let her try to open her eyes or it might get worse."

"I won't doctor." Cam says.

[Cameron's POV]

I can't believe Soph is getting released from the hospital. So I may not be the first person she sees yet, but I'm glad she's okay.

I carefully brought Sophia out the hospital and safely buckled her into her seat.

I got into my seat and drove off. It was dead silent except for the radio playing. 

"So..." I say breaking the silence.

"So..." She responds.

And that pretty much sums up our whole car ride back to our apartment.
