(Toby's POV)

I walked into school with Riley and Connor we were talking about some new music that we were writing. They went off to the junior, and senior halls and I went into mine. I opened my locker and grabbed a couple of books. Right as I closed my locker, I saw Taylor walk into school. I was about to go up to her but then..

"Toby, they need you in the front office." One of the teachers told me.

I walked into the glass doors, and waited for someone to show up at the desk.

"Hi I'm Toby McDonough, one of my teachers said that you needed to speak with me?"

"Yes, just a small schedule change."

Great the second day of school and I'm already going to be late for first period.

I checked the room number then knocked on the door lightly.

"Hi.. Is this room 206? 10th grade honors literature?"

"Yes. You must be Toby. We're glad to have you. Take a seat right over there by the window."

I looked over to where the teacher had pointed, and sure it enough my neighbor, Taylor, was sitting right there. I smiled at her and walked to the seat.

"Hi Toby!"

I whispered hi back, and started to listen to the teachers lecture on European literature. The bell ran what had seemed to be centuries later.

"Don't forget to find a partner and brainstorm for the project!" The teacher yelled as kids ran out the door.

"Umm hey.. Do you want to work on the project together since you know we're friends and stuff.. Wait we're friends right..?" I asked Taylor as she gathered her things.

"Haha yes Toby we're friends, and yes I would love to."

She was blushing. Maybe she thinks I'm alright.

The bell rang after a couple of periods signaling lunch. Taylor came up to my locker freaking out because her schedule skipped over fourth period and she couldn't figure out why. I started to laugh a little.

"Chil out Taylor. Haha fourth period is lunch."

I smiled at her. She nudged my shoulder.

"Hey not all of us can be as smart as you!"

We both just kind of stood there.

"So, uh can I still uh maybe sit with uh you at lunch today?" Taylor said looking all over, and then down to her feet.

"Yes you may." I said smiling.
