If you weren't bothering everyone while working at the Ren household, then you were lounging around in the garden in your free time before one of the many princesses called for your aid in dress up or hair styling or one of the few men in the household asked you for almost the same reasons. Well, they barely asked you for help in wardrobe and more for help in just holding things for them or asking for information on just about anything. You had secretes you kept from everyone and you refused to tell anyone, and that what caused Judals interest in you. Judal followed you everywhere, be it you knew or didn't.
"I know you're there~!" You seemed to sing, carrying a large basket of laundry toward the laundry room. That sing-song voice of yours caused him to tense, earning a slight growl from his throat out of irritation. He could have sworn he was being as quiet as can be. Appearing beside you soon enough, he decided to cut right too the chase as you began separating clothes in piles of each royal and then into colors, and specific fabrics.
"Why are you still here? Why do you interest me so much?" The two questions caught you off guard immediately. You interested Judal? That was very, different, considering he was normally only entertained by things that had to deal with war and hatred and other horrendous things. Trying to hide the small pink that bloomed across your cheeks, you smiled and laughed nervously after a few minutes of having sat there quietly and not answered his questions, which left Judal a little irritated.
"I'm still here cause I need to work. Why I interest you? I can't answer that for you." Your reply was simple, clean, and straight to the point. It was no surprise to him since you were abrupt about how you felt and that was probably the reason why everyone hadn't kicked you out of the household yet either. When anyone asked you for your honest opinion about anything, you never lied and bluntly told others how you felt. Hell, even Kouha would ask for your opinion and you showed no fear when answering him. Some other servants spread out through the household thought you were a saint. Even so, he didn't understand how you didn't cower from him? Almost all the other female servants cowered from him or the other royals in the house.
"Why aren't you scared of me and the others?" Another question that seemed to catch you off guard. Yet, despite being thrown off by his question, you continued with your work without missing a single beat.
"Because I just don't see any of you as scary." His eye seemed to twitch as he stood there. It was almost like you were holding no reaction at all! You paused, thought, and answered! You showed no emotion on your face, no true, physical reaction. How could he get you to act differently? His brain was so scrambled at trying to find an answer to that question alone; it upset him. Why were you interesting? What were the many secrets you kept hidden? Why didn't your emotion change?!
"I could kill you right now and no one would care yet you turn your back to me like we've been friends for so long." After his sudden statement, you finally seemed to pause, had he finally achieved a reaction out of you for once?
"I almost forgot the laundry in one of the princesses room!"
Nope, nope not at all.
"Damn it woman pay attention to me!" He seemed to blurt without thinking, causing you to finally look at him with wide eyes and a smile spread on your lips. His confusion seemed to grow while his anger deflated as you began giggling.
"You're working so hard for a peasants attention, don't worry. I could never ignore you. I just like achieving reactions out of you that others normally can't."
Was your reply as you left to go grab some laundry you had almost forgotten but not before pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek.
Yes, you were quite interesting and confusing at the same time.
