The room was deathly silent and no one spoke. After everything that happened, the friendships, the hardships, everyone was suddenly acting so cold and distant to one another and it upset you. Everyone had just found out about Rin being the son of Satan. The one who had killed tons of people murdered some of your friends and families and now there was an air of uneasy-ness around everyone. This wasn't what a home was supposed to feel like was it? A home should be warm and comfortable and full of wonderful people you love who all have beautiful smiles decorating their faces! But, all that sat upon your friends own faces were looks of fear, disgust, and even blank looks they used to mask their feelings that they didn't know what to do with..
"I'll leave." You looked up from your spot on the ground you'd been staring at, trying to collect your thoughts on how to change the mood. Rin began grabbing his things one by one with an angry look on his face before Ryuji dashed toward him, grabbing him by the back of his shirt and forcing him to turn around. He reeled his arm back, forming his open hand into a fist, gearing to strike in the next instant. Before he was able to connect, Konekomaru and Shima came running over and grabbed hold of his arms, causing him to release Rin in the process. The devil's son only turned his head, glaring off to the side while scoffing in anger...
"Where the hell do you get off thinking and saying something like that?!" Ryuji blurted in rage, trying to fight against his friends who were keeping him from hitting Rin, which proved to be quite difficult.
"You're just gonna up and run away now?! Not even say anything to us? What right did you have not telling us anything about you being the son of Satan? Fucking tell me!"
Rin didn't answer, because he knew what the answer was, yet didn't want to admit it. It was that he didn't, he didn't have any right keeping this from his friends, from the people around him who loved him but he didn't want those he cherished to simply despise him cause of something he couldn't physically control. He didn't want to be hated just because of his stupid father but now he was paying the price for it. As you stood off to the side, more screaming from Ryuji ensued while others yelled at him to calm down, Shiemi herself was on the verge of tears from the accumulated stress combining in the room. No, this wasn't home or a comfy group of friends, this was a war being waged on feelings.
"Alright, that's enough out of everyone!" You suddenly blurted out, shutting your eyes tightly so you wouldn't have to see the sets of eyes now focusing on you. The quiet person in the class who got along with everyone, who always smiled and never got sad or angry had just yelled for once. The fear and pain that no one had ever seen before on your face, now felt waves of guilt wash over themselves the longer they looked at your trembling form. They had made you feel so terrible and they hadn't even realized.
"I don't have a home to go too, not a home where everyone accepts me and treats me like family or a home where I have friends. I live in a shared dorm with people who don't even like me! But when I joined this class... I was so happy." You whispered, shaking as you stood there, tears starting to spill from the corners of your eyes.
"I decided that this class, where everyone was friends would be my new home... A home full of acceptance and warmth that I hadn't truly felt before. I'm not going to let that suddenly change just because we're all angry over something NOBODY could control!" Looking up, you took a stand beside Rin and glared at the others.
"I love Rin, no matter what! He will always be a part of my heart whether or not he's the son of Satan! I won't let the one place I call home be ripped apart just because he's the son of some asshole! This is my home, a place where I can bask in the warm glow of smiling faces I love to see every day... I won't let anyone take that from me and not from Rin." After that, everyone had mixed feelings about what they should or could do, but they all knew one thing, you were right. This classroom was everyone's safe haven, a place to relax, a place to learn, goof off, have fun and share. It was a home, and they decided you were right. This classroom would always be a home full of acceptance, no matter what obstacle was set in everyone's path.
