"Hey Jack! Look what I found!" Mark shouted to Jack. They had come to the State Fair because they didn't have anything better to do. Jack was only here for the weekend, so Mark thought it was a good idea to take him somewhere. Even though Jack practically begged Mark to stay at his house and play video games or something, Mark insisted so Jack didn't argue.

Jack sighed and walked over to where Mark was standing. Mark's eyes shown with curiosity and childishness. Jack looked at what Mark was looking at, and couldn't help but chuckle. "Um... Mark... these are balloons..." Jack said watching Mark as he slightly bounced up and down on the balls of his feet. "I know they are jackiboy!!! I love balloons! They are so fun to play with and suck the helium out of!" Jack couldn't help but laugh at Mark's excitement.

"How much are they?" Jack said in a defeated tone. Mark turned to look at Jack and a smile was on his lips. "Well... there free except the sign says you have to go take a selfie at the top of the Ferris wheel and show it to the balloon attendant." Mark replied brightly. Jack felt his stomach tighten. He was scared to death of heights and he really didn't feel like throwing up, but when he saw Mark's smile he couldn't help but smile back. "Well then what are we waiting for?" Jack asked in a fake excited voice, "let's go!" He grabbed Mark by the wrist and pulled him along, practically running to the Ferris wheel.

Mark and Jack got in line and as they got closer, Jack felt his stomach turn, he was not very happy with this. He loved how happy Mark was, so he pushed himself forward. He was sure Mark would go on by himself if Jack asked to stay but he felt like he needed to be there with Mark, so he gulped and sucked down his fear stepping onto the ride with Mark. They started to go up and Jack began to shake. He clenched his fists and bit into his cheek trying to think of something happy.

Mark was loving this. He had his best friend Jack beside him and he was on one of his favorite rides. He loved the feeling of wind on his face and being up so high gave him a thrill. When they finally reached the top, the Ferris wheel stopped spinning. Mark looked over at Jack but saw that he was shivering and that he had tears in his eyes. "Jack." Mark touched Jack's arm gently but got a shutter in response. "Jack please talk to me!" Jack turned toward Mark but didn't open his eyes. "I-i-i I'm scar-scared of heights..." Jack stuttered out.

Mark felt like this was all his fault. Jack had come on this stupid ride with Mark just to make him happy. He was touched. He put a comforting arm around Jack's shoulder and started humming as Jack layed his head in the crook of Mark's neck. Mark had totally forgotten about the selfie and he didn't wanna ruin the moment. He had never known how much he really liked Jack until today.

Jack kept his head hidden in the crevice of Mark's neck and listened to Marks voice as he hummed. Jack felt horrible, then he remembered the selfie and he sat up his eyes still closed. "W-we need to get that pi-picture." Jack gulped and slowly opened his eyes, not looking down but looking straight at Mark's face. Their eyes met and all was forgotten for a brief second. Mark reached forward and wiped away Jack's tears, leaving one hand on Jack's cheek, stroking it calmingly.

"Jack you didn't have to do this for me..." Jack shook his head, and reached a hand up to where Mark's lay on his cheek and placed it on top of his, entwining their fingers from the back. "Oh just shut up already and take the God damnned picture before I change my mind." Jack chuckled and Mark reached in his back pocket and pulled out his phone, going to his camera and then he turned to Jack.

Mark set the camera to take the picture after 5 seconds and he put it in the air, his other hand still in Jack's, and then he leaned forward and kissed him. Jack felt shock waves role through him as Mark's lips landed on his and he kissed back, the world around them forgotten, until they felt the Ferris wheel shutter and begin to move and Mark almost dropped his phone. They broke away and by that time they were at the bottom and getting off.

Jack and Mark were breathless and excited. They locked hands and walked back over to the balloon stand. When they reached it they saw that there weren't any balloons left. Mark frowned and Jack grumbled and they turned to look at each other. "Welp... I guess that was a waste of effort huh?" Jack sighed out. Mark looked at Jack, eyes still filled with a curiosity and longingness.... exactly how he had looked at the balloons.

Jack noticed this and raised an eyebrow. "W-why are you looking at me like that?" Mark laughed and leaned forward giving Jack's ear a little kiss. "Because... who needs balloons when I have you?"
