Chapter 8- Owen

The night approached that day and Rose was still in her bedroom. Slowly, I opened her door with Charlie and Orion behind me.  

"Rose" I whispered.  

"Huh? Hello?" Her voice moaned. I opened the door completely and shuffled over to her in my pajamas. 

"Rose, Will told us a really scary story. Can we sleep with you?" Rose smiled and sat up. 

"You guys are better than to listen to that blockhead. Oh, well. Hop in!" Charlie and I smiled and climbed under the sheets. Orion stood there trying to be the man he wasn't.  

"Well, I'll leave you kids alone." Rose smiled bigger and said, "come on, Orion. I know you want too. I won't tell anyone." 

"Well in that case-." He climbed in next to Rose. Rose laughed and wrapped my arms around all of them.  

"My boys." They smiled and snuggled close to her. Soon we feel asleep as Will happened to peak in the room.  

"That's my Rose" he whispered. Then he shut the door leaving us in the darkness. Rose had the same nightmare. It ended with Wills devil demon wrapping its claws around he mouth while dragging her into the darkness. Yep. Happy stuff. Rose woke with a shake to find herself covered in icy sweat. "Just a dream" she whispered.  

"Rose, are you alright" a voice squeaked. Rose looked to her right to see Charlie looking up at her. She smiled and put her arm around him. 

"Yes. Just had another bad dream." Charlie nodded and hugged her side.  

"I hope your nightmares go away. I don't like it when your scared." Rose gave him a kiss in the head and said, "thanks, Charlie."

Rose woke up to find a dragon on her chest. Not exactly what you want to see in the morning. She screamed and sat up. We all woke up to find why she had screamed. "Thorny!" Charlie yawned as he hugged the little dragon. The dragon smiled and licked him on the face. It's dark purple scales sparkled in the sunlight that came thought the window. The dragon had large green eyes and black horns with a full set if dagger teeth.  

"That's what I forgot to tell you. Charlie has a pet dragon" Orion smiled. Rose sighed and sank under her covers. 

"He's really friendly" Charlie said shaking the dragon around like a snow globe. The creature didn't mind though. I patted Thorny the head and smiled. "He's pretty awesome." Just then the door swung open and Will stood there with his idiotic morning grin. 

"Good morning, everyone! Who's ready for their first day of school!" 

"Were starting today?" Orion frowned. 

"Yes!" Charlie said throwing Thorny into the air. The dragon smiled and flew on top of Wills head. 

"Okay then. Everyone down stairs! Even you, Rose" Will said walking out of the room. Rose groaned and rolled out of bed with us. We all made our way down stairs where Will sat there stoking Thorny. 

"Come on. Chop! Chop! You don't have long. Your bags are already pack so lets move it!" Orion, Charlie and I sat at the table and gobbled up our food faster than you could say "you pigs!" When we finished we changed into our capes and hats with our new pocket watches by our side. Soon we were all ready to go. Caesar, Will and Rose waited for us by the fireplace. We all walked down the stairs beaming with awesomeness.  

"There are our young men" Will smirked. 

"Well, lets go!" Caesar said motioning us to him.  

"I'll take Rose and meet you there" Will said swinging his cape over them. They vanished from the room.  

"Alright boys. Now if you need anything just use your pocket watch to call home. It's also a communication device. Charlie knows how to use one, so he will teach you two" Caesar said looking at my brother and I. We nodded.
