Chapter 27- Orion

It had been a week since Will disappeared and Rose hasn't got a wink of sleep. She paced around in the lair muttering things to herself.

"Rose, calm down. We're going to find him" I sighed.

"He has been gone seven days! Where could he possibly be? Maybe he was captured! Or maybe he's..." Roses voice trailed off.

"He's not dead. I can still feel his life presences" Caesar said taking a sip from his tea.

Rose ran her fingers through he tangled up hair.

"Where is he? I asked Lily, Cole and Crow if they had seen I'm. No sign of him! He promised we would come home that night. But he didn't."

"Rose, don't worry. He's not as stupid as you give him credit for. He's alright wherever he is" Charlie smiled.

Rose let out a large sighed and sat down on the couch when the front door swung open Lily stood there with Crow and Cole.

"Please tell me you found him!" Rose screamed.

"Wow you look terrible, Rose" Lily stated. "And no. We didn't find him."

"We found a vending machine that sells B positive blood though" Cole said taking a sip from a soda can. I scowled at the thought of that.

"By observation and instinct Will was not captured nor killed. He's not that stupid. Ether he's in hiding, stuck somewhere he can't get out or he ran away. But he isn't chicken ether so that just leaves the first two" Crow explained.

That's the most I ever heard him say in one breath.

Owen stood up and said, "maybe Raven did something to him?"

"No. Raven never works on a holiday and if she wanted to do something to him she would have him killed or kidnapped unless..." Crows voice silence. "No. No never mind."

"What is it" Rose sighed. "Anything can work."

"Unless Ravens boss got to him first" Crow whispered. "And that wouldn't be good."

"Who her boss" Lily asked.

Crow shrugged.

"I don't know. I do know he is bad news. Someone you don't want to mess around with. One night I saw Raven come home with a big cut on her head. She had upset her boss."

Rose groaned and slouched back.

"Where could Will be? Hey, Barth. Can you track his spirit presence?"

"No. I usually can, but I can't detect it strangely" Barth echoed from above.

I sighed and walked over to the kitchen were I happen to stop something of great importance. "Uh... Guys. I think I might have found Will. Or at least where he is."

Everyone ran over to me to find a rather disturbing message painted on the floor.

"Cole, knell down on tell me what kind of ink is used to right this message" Crow said stepping back to examine the note.

Cole bent down to the floor and smelt it. Not strange at all. Cole frowned and now licked the floor. Again, not strange at all.

"Guys...." Cole frowned. "Its Wills blood."

Rose screamed and threw her hands over her mouth.

"You can't be serious!"

Cole nodded.

"Yep, it's Wills blood. It's black, tastes disgusting. This is why vampires don't hunt demons. They taste awful."

"Your not helping, Cole" Lily sighed

"Your friend lurks in the shadows. Careful, he's not what you think he is" Crow read. "That probably means he's ether A) in the Shadow Grounds, B) he's somewhere dark like an ally or dungeon or C) in the Black Market."

Rose cursed and sat back down in the living room.

"Where should we search first?"

"Um, I think we should actually wait" Cole said awkwardly.

We all looked at him.

"Why?"

Cole gulped and said, "that blood is fresh. Really fresh."

I walked down the schools hallway with Charlie and Owen beside me chatting quietly. As we walked into our fortune telling class Zilla waved at us.

"Hey guys!"

We waved back and sat beside her and talked until the bell rang for class to start.

The teacher, Mrs. Kimball, a bony lady with long, straight grey hair walked into the room.

"Okay everyone, turn to the crystal ball I placed between you and your partner. I want the person to the right to put their hands on it and close their eyes. Try to relax. To much stress and you'll blow the ball up" she explained.

I put my hands on the crystal ball on closed my eyes while Owen watched. Charlie did the same besides Zilla.

"Okay, now the ball should start to glow." The teacher added.

My did. Charlie's didn't. That's when things started to go wrong.

"Uh, Charlie. I think your doing it wrong" Zilla gasped.

His crystal ball didn't glow. It had a cloud of black smoke unfolding inside it.

Students started to scream and point at Charlie. Suddenly his crystal ball began to shake. He gasped and released it. The ball kept shaking though. The teacher ran over to Charlie and picked up his crystal ball. The smoke began to morph into a image of none other than The Witch Doctor. She yelped and dropped the ball. It shattered across the floor.

Charlie seemed more afraid than Mrs. Kimball though.

"Your not a black magician right, Charlie" the teacher asked with a stern look on her face.

Owen, Charlie and I got worried looks on our faces.

"What? No! Charlie? A black magician? That's crazy" Owen laughed. "Does Charlie look like a black magician to you?"

Charlie gave a weak smile.

"It makes sense if he is. I mean, who else could get there hands on a Death Reaper" a voice said from the back of the room. It was same kid who was picking on Owen and Charlie the other day. The teacher took a deep breath and said, "Zilla, Charlie, you two share with Orion and Owen please."

Zilla and Charlie scooted next to us.

Just before class ended I turned over to Charlie who still looked sick and whispered, "Charlie, are you alright?"

He shook his head and whispered in my ear, "he's looking for me."
