Unforgettable lunch

I woke up early in the morning and the only thing I could be thinking of was Meryl and the up to be lunch that day. I was having a bunch of feelings from happiness to nervousness and impatience so I decided to call Nana to forget the stress for a while:

-Morning honey! I hope you weren't sleeping.

-Are you kidding me, Ande? I couldn't sleep all night! I'm so nervous about the lunch but I'm also so happy we finally met Meryl. Is still hard to believe.

-I couldn't sleep too! And we worked a lot yesterday to finish the design of the dresses. But we've done a fantastic job! I can't wait to see Meryl's face when she'll see the drawing!

-Me too! She'll be thrilled! *laughing* Who won't love such a surprise?

-I definitely do! *also laughing* You already made me such a surprise! *gasp* She's calling me!

-Oh..My..God!!! Answer it! I'm hanging up! *hangs up*

-Andrea? Hi! It's me, Meryl! I called to be sure you're still free today. I'll send you and Nana a text with the location around 12 o'clock.

-Good morning, Meryl! Of course we are. And please, call me Andy.

-Okay, see you later Andy! Say hi to Nana for me! *hangs up*

Were there any chances for all that to be a dream, because it was too beautiful to be true. Meryl Streep calling as any other friend would do, at 7 AM in the morning! And wondering if we still had time to meet her that day! It was really crazy, but completely true. As I got over the shock I called Nana back:

-She was wondering if we're still free today! Can you believe that? And she said hi to you too.

-She's calling us like she knows us for ages. God, this is crazy! And makes me love her even more! She's acting so natural and sweet, like she's doing this all the time.

-I know! I can't wait for that lunch! I'm wondering how will she react to whatever we're gonna tell her about ourselves. I mean, what she's gonna say and maybe she can relate to our stories as she's so good at empathizing with others.

We continued doing sceneries of what was gonna happen at the lunch until the alarm said that it was 11 AM and I told Nana we better get ready so everything would be as we wanted and we wouldn't be in a time crisis.

It took me some time to decide what to wear even if I knew the clothes had no importance for Meryl. At 12 I got the text from her, I took the drawings from my desk and went downstairs to get in the car and head to Nana's place.

Maurice was already waiting there for 1 hour or more. *I know is hard for him to work with me, but..is his job!* I said to myself.

Ten minutes later I was at Nana, helping her to decide which dress to wear and we left her apartment at 1 PM. We made our way to the restaurant in half an hour and waited for Meryl 20 more minutes:

-Hi! Am I late?

-Nope Meryl, we arrived a bit too early. How are you?

-Great! I'm curious to meet you guys, I mean like really getting to know something about you.

-We're excited about that! But before letting the conversation start, we have a little surprise for you and Christine. Unfortunately she's not here!

Saying that I took the drawings off my handbag and gave them to Meryl. She was really surprised to see the drawings and she gave us a bright smile full of pure happiness:

-This is fantastic! she shouted. *laughing* I can't believe you did this for me! And it looks amazing, both of them. I can't wait to wear this dress. And I want to invite you to the event. It will be like a little Mamma Mia reunion! *laughing*

-Really?! Oh my god! We'll be so happy to attend the event.

-Yes. And we heard something about that, I mean Pierce Brosnan and Julie Walters will be there too, right? It would be great!

-Yes, you heard right! Now, come on, tell me about you!

She seemed so excited and was so sweet to us. We started to tell her a lot of things about ourselves, like the way we met, the way we became streepers and where the dream to become fashion designers came from.

She didn't let us down and told us about her family, how she met Don, her work, her favorite things to do. And we talked like that for 3 hours when she remembered she got an audition and we had a meeting with Donatella Versace we canceled the previous day...
