I turned around and adressed Legio. "Go train with Sparks. Take this advice; he can quickly switch between planes. Outnumber him with Ether hunters so he can't escape." Hey! I smiled as Sparks tried to sound more betrayed then amused. Legio nodded and ran over to our cave-home.
I walked over to the bluff and sat down on the edge. Velicity sat down next to me. A tear sprang to my eye. I quickly blinked it away. I won't show any emotions. Not since my second party died from them...
"Is there anything wrong? " Velicity asked. I looked at her, seeing her studying me with a worried look on her face. "I'm fine-" "No you aren't. Dragonsbane I can feel your emotions. You're feeling miserable! " "How do you even-" "It was part of your training. Anyways, what's wrong? " "It's just- everything is just going so fast! Two months ago, I was just another adventuring mage. Now, I am a Draen with some mystic destiny. It's been Three whole months since I last spent the whole day at the Artificer's guild, buying blueprints and prototypes and planar maps and lorebooks and -" " I know, David, it's tiring me too. But whenever I get tired, I think of all the happy moments during the travels." A few moments of silence flew past, and then she spoke up again. "Just know that, if there's just anything I can help you with, just say so." "Thanks. "
Then, I noticed something. A patch of brown was forming in her iris. "What's that?" "What's what? " Velicity replied. I conjured a piece of mirror and then she spotted the patch. "What's happening to your eyes???" Velicity asked panicked. I took out a mirror and saw that my right eye had turned brown, too. Relax. Your both just returning to your true human forms. I looked back in the mirror and noticed my eyes became brown instead of purple. My usually black hair started to curl just slightly, and became brown. My skin paled slightly and I shrank about 10 centimeters. I looked over to Velicity and noticed her eyes where now completely a warm brown. Her skin turned slightly tan and she, too, shrank a good 10 centimeters. Feels good to be back in this form. Has been two and a half month since the last time I was in this form. Same here. I just plugged Legio into the mindlink. Legio, please speak up! Hi! (A/N: Legio's mindspeak is written like this.) Anyways, I think we should get going. I'm fine with that. I'll just mark the spot and then we can leave. I'm ready! I started shifting into dragon form.
Then, I remembered something. Wouldn't it look strange if four riderless dragons of the same age fly over an inhabited area? Especially when one of them is a hydra? Your right. What do you advice to do? We wait until dusk. Sparks and I won't draw attention due to our colors. We turn into Dragons, and Velicity and Legio will stay human. They disguise themselves as dragon riders. I still have the saddles, barding, armor and weapons stored in my armory. I can conjure them right now. Sounds good to me. I'm fine with it. Seems like a good plan. I looked up at the sun. About an hour until sunset. Gather your stuff and gear up. I sent the equipment through the mind link. Meet us after sunset at the bluff. Velicity and I sat down near the edge of the bluff. I pulled her to my side with my right wing and, hesitating, she leaned onto my shoulder. With a smile, we surveyed the land before us, taking in the landscape. Emerald green hills filled the land, the scenery occasionally disturbed by mountains jutting up from the landscape. Between two mountains on the horizon, a beautiful red disk slowly sank, giving everything long shadows. Slowly, the sun sank behind the horizon, the air flaring red, until the sun was behind the horizon, plunging the world into darkness...
