Dungeon Crawler 2- The Artificer

chapter 7- battle-marks.

Sparks and Legio came walking over, and I slowly stood up. Sparks was already in his camo-barding, with Legio mounted on his back,wearing a beautifully crafted full-plate. Are you ready? Velicity shot up, startled from her half-sleep by Sparks. Oh... Right.... we where supposed to gear up. My mistake. Here. I'll fix it. I laid one of my paws on the top of her head, focussing. Then, I slowly exhaled, and a plate armor, even more beautifully crafted than Sparks started to cover her.

Her helmet had tons of enchantments, allowing to see and hear a lot more than before. She could see heat,mana, lifeforce and even had an Identify HUD. The rest of the armor had less enchantments, but still was useful nonetheless. In the gauntlets, I had placed a mechanism that let three blades pop out of hidden pockets. Those blades where longer than her palm and dealt near-impossible amounts of damage. The ornate crafted metal wings on her back could move, and the tips where sharpened to razors. The whole armor was made of a dream-stuff and Draenic infused Windsteel.

It took me the last two months to craft it. Every night, when I went to sleep, I went to the dreamscape, a layer of my mindscape. It's yours. It's beautiful! Thank you! I smiled at the compliment and then focused, taking out some regular barding. I'm still working on my barding, but I'll use regular for now. Now hop on. We have to cover quite some distance until the next stop; the Draco Umbra.

Sparks and I stood next to each other, Legio and Velicity on our backs. I'll count down from three. .. 3.... 2..... 1....... FOR DRAENDOR! I jumped from the bluff, followed by Sparks.

Anyone know the directions? South. Roger that. I flew to the south for about ten minutes. Then...

Boom. Flash. A flare exploded twenty steps from me. I heard another one whistle and, looking down, saw it heading for me. Hold on! I did a quick barrel roll before diving through the clouds. Sparks and Legio followed my lead as I landed on the launcher of the flare. The cannon crumpled under my weight as I looked around. We were in the middle of a drake scouting party of ten. Legio, I need an army. Coming right up! Legio said as he landed and invoked his mark, creating nineteen duplicates. Velicity, use your portals to send them flying I suggested. Velicity invoked her mark and placed portals around us that would throw the drakes 200 steps in the air. I invoked my mark and turned into a human and punched the ground.

I seized control over the ground around me and started forming it into a mass of tentacles. "The world-shaper is unbound! " a drake screamed. "Slay him!" I smiled as the tentacles began to lash out at the drakes. Velicity, Sparks and Legio stood in the circle warded by tentacles. After a minute, I began to get tired. The drakes noticed that and began advancing. Sparks! Get us out of here! Where to? Doesn't matter! I said as a drake fired an arrow at me.

Before the arrow could hit, though, we where in a plane of darkness.
