It Isn't Over...It Can't Be

Chapter 10 - The Big Bad Finale

Luna's POV

I hear the thunder and see the lightning. A moment later I see him walking up the road to me with a devilish smile. I aim my gun even though I know it's useless. I fire five rounds all hit him. All it does is anger him. He is five feet away now and I know it's over. I feel the air move as he hits me. I fall to the ground. He hits me and kicks me as hard as he can. I just sit on the ground. I sit there and think for a moment. I wait for his foot to hit me again. When it does I grab his ankle and pull him to the ground. When he is down I grab my gun once again,load it and fire at him. I pin him on the ground with my foot and fire three more times. He swings his leg at me and I lose my balance. I fall to the ground. I try to get up but he is quicker and he pushes me back down with his foot. Everytime I try to get up he pushes me down. So I stop trying. He notices so he steps away from me. "What are you doing?" I ask "I thought you wanted to kill me not beat me?" "I said I wanted you to put up a fight and you're not. Get up!" He says. I slowly pick my self off the ground. I stand up and aim my gun again. Before I shoot he pulls out his own pistol. I fire off a shot. It hits him and he smiles. "Now I can kill you" He says evilly. He fires one shot and hits me in my shoulder. I fall to my knees and touch my shoulder. I bring my hand to where I can see it. It's covered in blood. He walks up to me and pushes me down. I hit the ground hard. He looks me in the eyes and says "Goodnight...forever." And with that shoots me once more. Silence.

Alex's POV

I knew as soon as the doctor walked out something was wrong. I jumped out of my seat when he asked for Luna's friends and family. Right after me,X and Natur were out of there seats too. "Right here" I say. "I have some bad news" He says. "Oh god. No,please no!" I say panicked. "We  tried our best to stop the bleeding and to fix the heart but every time we tried she failed again. I'm sorry to say but Ms.Blue is dead." He says with despair. "She's gone.She can't be" I whisper,tears falling. I fall to my knees and cry. X and Natur are on the floor next to me. X hugs me crying. Natur slides to my other side and we all sit and let the tears fall. "Is there someone I need to call for you?" The doctor asks. "E-E-Emily..." I stutter. He hands me a pen and a piece of paper. I scribble her number on the paper and hand him back the pen and paper. A nurse walks over to us and asks if we would like to see Luna before they took her away. I nod and get up. Natur gets up and helps X up. We walk down to operating room 5. The nurse leads us in. "I'll be back in 15 minutes" The nurse says. I walk over too Luna. She is motionless and pale. The tears fall harder. "Why?!?!" I whisper yell. "Why'd you leave so soon?" I say a bit louder. I grab her lifeless hand and kiss her forehead. "I love you Luna" I say remaining silent after for the rest of the time. X and Natur whisper their goodbyes. A few minutes later a crying Emily runs in the room. "No! Please not now,not her!!!" She yells. I run and hold her in a hug. "I'm so sorry I wasn't here...I'm so sorry Luna" She whispers. I let her go and she walks over to Luna. "Goodbye friend,I love you" She says with sorrow. The nurse comes back to the room and tells us we have to leave. We walk out Emily leaning on me and Natur leaning on X. I call my friend Max to come pick us up. He didn't really know Luna and we are all unfit to drive at the moment. About 10 minutes later Max pulled up. We got in the car. He nods his head as a hello because he knows I don't want to talk right now. "Where am I taking you guys?" Max asks. "My house" I say quietly. He nods and returns his eyes to the road. I don't live very far from the hospital,about 5 minutes. He drops us off and asks if I need anything else. I shake my head no. "If you need anything,call me ok?" He says. "Will do friend.Bye" I say. He says goodbye and drives off. I walk into my house and fall on my couch. Emily sits next to me and Natur and X sit on my other couch. We all stare blankly in silence. We sit like this for a while. I break the silence. "What are we going to do now? Just forget or live in sorrow forever?" I ask. "Luna would want us to go on remembering the good times and living life as if she never left" X says."she wouldn't want us to be sad forever" Emily adds. "Even though we might hurt for a while or maybe even forever doesn't mean we should stop" I say. We all nod then go back to silence.We didn't have anything else to say. Guess this is life. Bad things happen to good people. Horrible things happen to the best kind of people. Luna was just one of the best I've known and now she's gone. Luna Blue,freshman in collage,died too soon at the hand of someone else. This isn't a nightmare anyone is waking up from either.This is real and now. Good bye Luna.
