"Books"
11/10/15There's just something about a book, have you noticed?
Words written on a page, dates, emotions, history.
Many different worlds, both new and old
Have the power to change us, that is if we let them.Pages bound in leather, we take them for granted.
But these things, these books, should not be taken lightly. Those who's minds crafted such work did not for they knew the power these words held.
Fiction or not, it matters not for these priceless artifacts. They contain many hidden jewels, treasures beyond measure.
Written to teach us many aspects of life.Morals and themes hidden inside cleverly concealed stories.
Words strung together just so, so that we may know what our ancestors wanted to tell us, but couldn't.Characters we identify with, help us better understand ourselves, and those around us.
So the next time you pick up a book, be aware, the treasures that lay hidden there.Search out their themes, hidden so that you must look deeply to find them.
And let them change you, story upon story, book by book, you'll find they do.Learn the lesson but enjoy the ride, for they were meant to entertain as well.
But don't take them lightly like you did before.
