As Naenia hit the ground she laid on the grass in wait for one of the ravenous beasts to finish her off. From the ground, she looked to see that Marin was no where to be found. She trembled, awaiting her fatal fate. Before that could happen, a dagger flew through the sky in mid-air, piercing the Rindu in his head. It released a loud ROWRRR, which shook the land, before it collapsed to the ground. Stepping into view was none other than Priscilla Ardella.
"Hey, ugly beasts of the red moon," Priscilla unsheathed her blade, "I'm Grim Reaper. Come seal your fate."
By now the beasts surrounded them. Not removing her eyes from the beasts, Priscilla bent down to help Naenia up.
"Naenia, come, stand to your feet."
Doesn't she see that I'm hurt?
"Naenia, up before they decide to attack!"
Naenia replied, "I'm--I'm hurt--"
Eyes widened, Priscilla mouthed, "oh my god."
"I'll get us out of this. Just try not to move."
The whole time she said this, her eyes never left the threat surrounding them. Naenia was able to see Priscilla close her eyes.
What is she doing?
"Priscilla," Naenia sat up slightly, not feeling the pain in her wound for some odd reason, "Priscilla! They're going to kill us!"

But Priscilla was unnerved, not moving one inch, never once dared to open her eyes. She even put her blade back into its holster. Is she a madwoman?!

The animals surrounded them as if studying their prey before making any sudden moves. They all attacked at once. In swift, graceful movements, Naenia watched in shock as Priscilla, eyes still sealed, unsheathed her blade once again, countering, dodging, and slashing them down to size. Once they died, Priscilla opened her eyes, not even stopping to admire her work. Naenia looked at her in an utter shock. The maiden sheathed her blade once again, then looked down at Naenia.

"Where did they hurt you?"

She knelt down to the little girl's level. Naenia was still stunned, trying to figure out if her eyes were deceiving her in anyway, or did Priscilla just "single-handed" dangerous monstrosities that could've easily killed her.

"Naenia, Naenia!"

She was snapped out of her thoughts.

"Through my...chest?"

Priscilla searched fervently.

"I--I don't see anything. You sure it wasn't anywhere else?"

Naenia felt the spot where the creature jabbed her. Was she just seeing things? Maybe the accursed moon in the sky was driving her mad? Priscilla helped Naenia up, not giving the little girl time to assess the situation. She felt the claws rip into her flesh and yet, there was no wound?
"We have to go. Every animal in the forest has been driven mad. If they follow us back to the camp, we may have to fight. Come."
Priscilla pulled her dagger from the Rindu's skull, wiped it off, and placed it back into its holster. She held on to Naenia's hand for dear life as they ripped through the forest. Priscilla, using her free hand, occasionally had to draw her blade to cut down any violent inhabitants of the forest.

"What happened to the animals?"

"That damned red moon is what happened. Its presence disturbs the innocence of the forest." Priscilla answered between heavy breaths.
Out of the forest finally, Priscilla and Naenia made it to the encampment--and missed a rough, ravenous raven that tore the night skies asunder with a loud RAAAWWWKK! Priscilla and Naenia covered their ears from the deafening screech. A loud cannon sounded, smashing into the giant bird's body. The smoking cannon belonged to Varcus.
