The life of a wolf is simple. From day one we are categorised and, from that day on, we are forever in that category, no getting out unless your mate is the Alpha or beta. Even than being in such categories is not always sunshine and sparkles. From the age of five we are taught to fight and fend for the pack. The Alpha must fight against any evil that comes their way.
What happens when the one true evil so happens to be your mate? A day has passed and my packs tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The word of my mates appearance and the pack joining had already spread not even an hour after I told Bethany . A mere hour. I sigh as I lean against a pillar on the from porch, looking out at the vast ray of trees that played in front of my like a bed, only one gravel row separating the yard in two ending in a circular formation and a long long garage to the left of me to hold the cars, all 50 of them shockingly.
"Alpha, border petrol says that the WhiteFang pack has arrived. Shall I get the pack ready?"
I space out for a second before nodding a minute later.
"Yes, Have them all out in the front porch by category."
She gives a quick nod before she closes her eyes, them opening to reveal a golden fire around her pupil. In mere second I hear running and see the scattering of people in their best attire, each in a category but all one in soul. Twenty vans pull up a second later, Alpha Roman driving the first van.
My brothers cling to either arm as I stand tall and proud amongst my pack. I stand in the middle of all of them, a brother on either side and Bethany on my left and Josie on my right. His smell fills my lungs as he steps out, proud and beautiful like a god. As he descends the stairs my heart races, my brothers clinging to me more.
"Alpha Roman." I say, trying not to sound weak.
With a chuckle he wraps an arm around me, pulling me to him. With a long Inhale he smiles, his deep blue eyes piercing mine.
"The mere sound of my name coming out of your mouth sends shivers throughout my body."
I roll my eyes, trying not to blush. Even though I act cold, this man makes my legs weak at the mere sight of his godlike form. The sound of throats being cleared bring us from our trance. My brothers, Alec and Alex, snicker and step back from my side looking at each other. A blush engulfs my cheeks and I quickly look down.
"Cute as always my lovely mate."
I quickly push him away and clear my throat, taking control of my emotions.
"Pack, this is Alpha Roman, your new... Your new Alpha. "
Hurt radiates from my voice even when I cannot hide it much. A warm hand rests against my cheek, sending electricity through my body. I look up at him and see a touch of sadness.
"My lovely mate, you might want to get use to saying that."
Growls escape from my brothers and my second and third command.
"You don't treat our alpha like that. "
Romans eyes immediately turn red and his head snaps towards Josie who stands tall and unafraid. Tension build up as they stare at each other, hatred radiating in waves off their body until Roman speaks up.
"I am your alpha now wench."
I let out a massive roar making everyone look at me, the peaceful alpha.
"We are equal in body, mind, and soul. You shan't treat her like some dirt on the bottom of your shoe. She is my most loyal Gamma and the strongest Gamma in the northern parts of North America. "
Romans wolf steps forward, but he chuckles, stepping back to stand beside a well built man who was the same height as Roman. His skin could be compared to a lovely caramel color, his eyes the same color as a beautiful snow day.
"Clark here could beat your petty Gamma any time."
I place my folded hands in front of me and grin, turning my head towards Josie who smirked already knowing what I would say. Her thick British accent came out as she remained calm, strong.
"It would be my pleasure to show this pesky male whose boss."
×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××"OK, you know the rules. No killing, this is a battle for the Gamma position and all winnings are final. "
They both nod as they are in position as if they were ready to pounce at each others throats at any moment. With a look at Roman he raises his masculine arm.
"Fight!"
They both jump, shifting in mid air. Josies beautiful chocolate colored wolf pounces on Clark's black one, slashing at his face with her might. Clark let's out a growl of irritation than shoves Josie off, her flying two feet in to the air before landing gracefully on all fours. They circle each other a while, their eyes swirling a pool of gold as if smiling.
"I assure you Clark will win."
With a smirk I look at Josie as they fight.
"Josie is more than she looks."
"We'll see."
Clark finally catches her off guard and bites down on her paw, making her yelp and lung out, biting his ear. They stand there, not letting go until Clark finally unhinging his jaws from her paw. Josie still fights, limping as she quickly gets close enough. I know what she is doing. She does this often in her battles.
Josie bows her head in surrender, Clark bowing a second later as they shift back. With a might laugh Clark looks at Roman, smiling. I am smiling just like Roman and them, but for a different reason. While Clark isn't looking Josie lunges and puts Clark in a head lock so strong even a man like him can't get through. A second later his body falls limp, asleep. Josie has won
I laugh and look at Roman who has a look of disbelief.
"That doesn't count!"
I get close to him, our hearts beating as one as I inch my face towards his. I hear his heart race and his breath hitch. As we are about to kiss I say two words.
"Girls rule."
And I walk past him, stopping at the doorway before looking at all my pack.
"Show the new comers around and be nice, remember we are family not animals."
Bethany and Josie join me, our hips swinging and heads healed high. They smirks as I do.
"You sly she devil." Josie says with a mischevious smirk.
I wink and head towards my office.♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧
It's short but it's here. I've been spaced out lately but now I think I'm back. Adulting is hard. I now know why Britney did what she did. And I don't blame her. Btw- Picture is Roman.
