AB 1398 33th day of spring 2:30 PM
It was late in the evening when they reached the spot just outside of Hordeford. Dylan, Blake and Daspin carried the bread rations that were handed out by the church, while Kayla and Katelyn walked hands free. Olivia was carrying a small basket of delicious sliced pork that she was given by the local butcher for giving him her mother's herb potions.
They all gathered around the lonely oak tree that was previously visited by Dylan and Rhys earlier that day. The group used this place and several other places to meet up and usually organise what needs to be done on that day, but it is usually a place to relax after work. Olivia enjoyed this place out of all the places because of the view; it overlooked the view of endless plains and the faint view of the pine forest.
Anthony, Krystal, Rhys, Hayden and Jayden were already there when they arrived. All laughing at a joke of some sort they welcomed in Dylan and the rest that had arrived from the church service. After the food was placed down Dylan, Jayden, Hayden, Daspin and Rhys immediately began tackling each other for some reason that Olivia didn't quite get. "There just boys after all, stupid are stupid be, Agreed" Krystal said. The three girls nodded delightfully. The fight was over and of course Jayden reigned supreme as the other four boys crawled from the victor, bruised from all the times they were picked up and thrown by each other. As the four boys were struggling to get up, Shaun and Adrian appeared with several bottles of green rum aka mountain mead that they had taken from their workplace. "Nice to see that you guys have been keeping yourselves entertained, fucken had to be like a kings advisor to get this shit off my boss" Shaun trampled over the back of Dylan as he walked towards the girls and Anthony. "oh for fuck sakes, I would punch you in the face if you didn't have the rum."
As they sat down amongst themselves in a small circle laughing and saying crude jokes to each other, eating and drinking away till sunset. But Daspin remained quiet for some time now, making Olivia feel uneasy "What's wrong? You don't always be this quiet around us" she paused for a moment "is it still about your father". Daspin grabbed a note out of his pocket and gave it to Olivia.
"What's this?" She opened the note
"A note some woman gave to me at the church, I read the note... it is some kind direction it say's to go to the old windmill north of town."
She looked at him puzzled, "is this some kind of joke Daspin there is nothing on here but weird scribble"
"What? No it says so here, look see the word key... then inside windmill in the north than dig." Daspin pointed to where the words should be.
"Well I can't read it, it's not in the common writing".
"Look it doesn't really matter anyway, besides I must have read it wrong".
Olivia gave back the note to him " If you want, we could go there tomorrow and check it out, it doesn't really bother me".
"yeah alright, got nothing to do anyway so I guess it will be fun". Both of them held each other's hand.
Dylan stood up "alright everybody its getting dark, even though we want to stay here forever I guess we can walk back home, so pack your shit we are heading back". There were grumbles amongst the group but they eventually got up and started to walk back home.
