Jack Gilinsky (BSM)

(disclaimer before you read: I don't hate Madison Beer. I'm not a fan of her but I don't hate her. Just read the imagine and you'll understand)

"What do you mean he can't come tonight? He promised he'd be here! He can't miss tonight!" I angrily spat talking to JJ.

"(Y/N)," he said putting his hands on my shoulders. "He has no idea what his priorities are anymore.
Jack is been choosing a lot of wrong things lately and we will just have to deal with it."

"But," tears started to well up in my eyes. "But tonight's my sweet sixteen. He's really choosing Madison over me?"

JJ gave me a sympathetic look, "I'm so sorry (y/n)."

I hiccuped and broke out into sobs.
JJ took me in his arms as I cried. He stroked my hair quietly shushing me trying to calm down but it wasn't working, I just continued to sob harder and harder.

"(Y/n), it'll be okay. He's just being an asshole right now. Not just to you, to his fans, to his friends and especially me. Once he realizes what he's doing wrong it'll work itself out."

"That's not what I'm upset about," I paused, sniffling. "I'm upset he couldn't even tell me himself. He made you tell me for him while he's running off with his stupid ass girlfriend he chose over me."

"You know what?" He asked me letting go and looking me dead in the eyes.

"What?" I asked.

"You have me, and Nate, and Sammy, and Swazz, with you tonight. Also surrounded by all of your friends and family. Since Jack isn't here to escort you out, I'll do it! It'll be lit!"

I smiled getting motivation from his little speech, sniffling again, "You're right. Thank you J." I hugged him.

"(Y/n). It's time," my mom said behind me.

I pulled away from the hug, "I'll be right there," I called out to her. "I'll be back in a bit I need to get my hair and makeup done. I'll see you soon. I love you," I hugged him one last time and kissed him on the cheek.

"Love you too bug," He said, calling me by my childhood nick name.

"Now go get ready. You are going to look absolutely stunning. Your brother is missing out big time."
I smiled, running over to where the people who my mom hired to do my hair and makeup.

"And now presenting your beautiful birthday girl! Let's make some noise for Ms. (y/n) Gilinsky and her escort Mr. Jack Johnson!"

Jack held my hand tight as we walked through the large white doors to the banquet hall. My long, blue, puffy dress swishing with every step I took and my hair curled into ringlets blew behind me.

We walked in as a piercing up roar of people were screaming for me. All of my friends had their phones out probably snapchatting my entrance. I had a complete genuine smile on my face as I walked through the hall to the dance floor where I met my mom and dad.

I looked over at Jack as he let my hand go. He bent down kissing my cheek and whispering a quick "love you" before he walked over to the table full of his "squad" as I walked over to my "thrown".

My attention was turned to the host of the party as he began to speak, "So before we get this party started, Mrs. Katherine Finnegan Ginlinsky will say a few words about the birthday girl, her daughter."

After a very heart felt speech that made me cry, I ran up to my mom and engulfed her in a huge hug.

"I love you, mom."

"I love you too baby. I'm sorry about Jack. His head really hasn't been on straight lately. He'll come to his senses don't worry."

I smiled at her pulling away and meeting my dad's eyes.

"Now it's time for the traditional father daughter dance," the host told the crowd as the music starts to play.

Dad took my hand leading me out to the center of the dance floor like rehearsed. He bowed to me while I curtsied and we set ourselves up to dance together.

Here and there he would crack a joke to make me laugh and made me completely forget about Jack missing my night.

"Now everyone may join (y/n) and David out on the dance floor," the host spoke out the the crowd as the slow song my dad and I chose continued to play.

A few couples that I expected to come out did and began to dance. I smiled at them as I continued to dance with my dad. Looking to my left, I saw Nate and Sammy dancing together making me laugh.

It was about thirty more seconds when someone tapped my dad's shoulder and our heads turned toward the person.

"Mind if I dance with your daughter?" JJ asked.

Dad smiled and let got of me, "Go right ahead."

Once he took a hold of my waist I put my head on his chest and got as close to him as I could.

Him and I have a bond that no one can break. I love him and he loves me but more in a brotherly-sisterly way. I can talk to him about anything and he can do the same.

Jack is my ideal brother when my actual brother doesn't follow through.

He's a truly amazing person and I couldn't be happier to be this close with him emotionally, physically, and mentally.

After the song was over, a faster song came on and more people walked out to the dance floor and Jack didn't leave my side.

The night went on, we had dinner and we danced around like idiots. Now it's time for the candle ceremony. Oh dear god I hate public speaking. Let's get this over with.

The dj game me a mic and I held it up to my lips before speaking, "Hey guys. I hope you're all having a great time tonight. I can't thank you enough to for coming out and making my dream come true. I hope you're all having as much fun as me. Okay, so instead of just writing a speech to the person I chose for the candle, I wrote a letter to them which I'm going to read aloud. And some of these are groups and I didn't have the time to photo copy them so you can figure that out amongst yourselves."

(I actually did this for my sweet)

Going though my speeches one by one to family first and then friends, some even made some of my friends and family laugh and or cry. The speech I wrote for Nate, Swazz, Sammy, and JJ was completely embarrassing but oh well, they deserved it.

After I read my speech to my best friend for my sixteenth candle. I almost dread reading my last one, my seventeenth candle.

"Okay, um so most people don't light the so called 'seventeenth candle' but there's this one person that deserves it more than anyone else. He couldn't be here today due to, um personal reasons but I'm still going to read it and light the candle in honor of him," I glanced at JJ who gave me a reassuring look to keep going. "Dear the best big brother a girl can ask for, Jack. I don't know where to begin with you. You can make me the happiest person on earth but at the same time the most annoying person. No matter what you're always there for me," I paused trying to fight back the tears and get my hands from shaking. "Um, no matter what you're a phone call away and... And we can talk about the," by now tears spilled out of my eyes and I couldn't stop myself from sobbing.

I got a lot of sympathetic looks from everyone. Everyone knew that he couldn't make it and everyone knew the reason.

He chose his girlfriend over his sister, his own flesh and blood. His baby sister, for some other girl that I couldn't even stand.

I sniffled, trying to regain composure to speak again but the door opened and someone ran into the room.

Jack.
