-Josie-
As Ian pulled up to the school I managed a small smile and turned to get out.
"Hey, Josie right? Umm have a good day a school." Ian said scratching the back of his neck. He must of felt uncomfortable by what my mom said.
"Umm thanks, I'll see you after school." I replied getting out of the car.
Great I was late for my first day. I walked through the halls trying to find my homeroom Rell had someone pick up my schedule earlier in the week. I looked at the door I English first period which was good because I loved English. I walked in and all eyes turned to me, I stood frozen staring back at the class.
"Oh you must be Josie Neal, I'm Mr. Davidson. You may take a seat anywhere dear." The young looking teacher said to me as I made my way to a desk in the front row. "We are currently on Poetry until the end of the year, and each week our class has open mic where people get up and share what they have been working on." He continued smiling at me. I was going to love this class.
The school day went by in a blur it was lunch time, and I nervous cause I didn't really know who I was going to sit with. I grabbed my tray and looked around for an empty chair when I saw a girl waving at me from her seat next to a couple other kids from my previous classes. "Hi" I said shyly sitting down next to her.
"Hola chica" she replied with a thick accent. "I'm Mimi the Latina, the blonde is Brittany she's our nerd, that fabulous guy right there is Brent he's our fashionista, and guys this is Josie she's our black girl."
I laughed at the last part, she was funny. "Omg! I love your outfit, can I borrow your shirt sometime?" an overly excited Brent squealed.
"Um yeah sure, you mess it up I'll kill you." I said with a straight face.
We all looked at each other and bust out laughing, "That was so funny! Brent you should of seen your face!" Mimi screamed. "You even made Brittany stop working on her math and laugh! Its official you're definitely one of us girl."
I smiled it felt good to have friends for once, at my other school the kids made fun of me because my mom was a stripper, the guys would all say stuff about sleeping with my mom. The girls would just ignore my existence. It was different here, I could finally start over.

After she got out of the car I let out a deep breath. She was not what I had expected, when Rell told me he had a easy body guard assignment, I was eager to take it cause I was so tired of handling his drug transactions. What he didn't say was that I would be watching over his new wife's daughter who was beyond beautiful. She was short and curvy, her hair looked soft I could imagine grabbing it while I kissed her plump lips, running my hands along her smooth chocolate skin. Staring into her dark brown eyes, as cuddled together. Shit.
I had to stop thinking about her, she would get me in nothing but trouble with Rell, and I could not afford that when i was so close to getting out of this mess of a life and starting fresh. Rell told me that after this last job, he'd give me money so I could back to school and finish getting my business degree. I had to keep my eyes on the prize, and not on Josie Neal.
I got a message from Rell saying that he needed to talk to me so I headed towards the warehouse. "Sup Boss?" I said as I walked in his office.
"Did Josie make it to school alright?" he said turning to look at me.
"Yeah, she seemed a little nervous but I had my people on the inside so I can keep an eye on her even in school." I replied.
"Good, I want eyes on her at all times. She cant date anyone, the guys must know that she is off limits. She's soon to be mine, and I have a lot of plans for her virgin ass. After she turns eighteen I can finally have her." Rell said licking his lips.
I felt sick to my stomach, he couldn't have my Josie she was way too good for him. He could have anyone he wanted and he decides to go after shy innocent Josie. I had to think of something made I could talk him out of it.
"What about your wife? You know her mom?" I said in disgust.
"What about the bitch? She'll be taken care of. All she wants is money anyway, I'm sure if I make it worth her while she'll give me Josie." he said with a smirk.
"I gotta get going, schools about to be out soon." I mumbled walking out the room.
I was pissed I got in the car and sped to school, I thought about what I was going to do as i waited for Josie to walk out. Finally I spotted her talking to a pretty Latina girl, and a tall blonde girl. They laughed at something then a mixed guy walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her cheek, before I could stop myself I was out of the car and on my way over to her group.
"Oooh yummy a dread head, and he's tall with dimples!" the Latina girl said.
Josie turned with the guy still holding on to her waist. He looked like he had just stepped out of a magazine which pissed me off even more.
"Oh hey Ian! I'd like you to meet my friends, this is Mimi, Brittany, and Brent" she said pointing to each of them.
"Ooh boy, who ever twists ya hair does a damn good job, I need to meet your stylist." Model boy said.
I was shocked at first, then I laughed he was gay, why didn't I see this at first?
"Sure bro I'll be glad to tell her you liked my hair. Come on Josie we gotta go." I said holding my hand out for Josie to grab it. She got out of Brent's hold and grabbed my hand saying goodbye to her friends as we made our way to the car. I tried not to focus on the electricity I felt where our hands were connected.
"Where are we going?" Josie asked as I drove off in a different direction than her house.
"I thought I take you to get some ice cream? If that's okay with you?" I asked looking over at her.
"YES ! I Love Ice-cream! The Superman kind is my favorite." I watched as her face lit up as she talked about her favorite flavors. She looked a lot happier than this morning, and I don't know why but for some odd reason I wanted nothing more but to keep making her happy. Hell even I was happy, I think I was starting to look forward to being Josie's body guard.
