The exam started. Alice couldn't seem to concentrate at all. She looked at Jacqueline 's paper, which was almost fully completed.
"How does she do that?" She thought. "Sigh...I really, REALLY didn't need this right now..."
Alice was about to shout of despair, when she noticed a tiny hand wearing a three butterflied bracelet scrubling something on her nearly blank paper.
"Jacquline? But, why would she..." Alice was quite surprised. She didn't expect someone, let alone one of the popular ones to help her out. They were no relatives. They were no friends. They have known each other for 4 years, but they barely spoke. They were lucky to know each others surnames! And yet, she helped her, taking the risk to probably get a detention and ruin her perfect file and blablabla... whatever those nerds were terrified of. "Why?" She nearly whispered.
As she was lost on her thoughts, the bell rang.
-Pens down everyone!" The teacher started collecting each paper as the students got out of the classroom.-Hey Jacquline! Alice called all of a sudden, which made the shy girl jump at surprise.
-Yes Alice? She answered as she stopped walking, waiting for Alice to reach her.
-I just wanted to say, thanks for, you know, that...
-It was nothing, you are welcome, Jacqueline chuckled. -Everyone in my place would have done the same...
Reality call: No they wouldn't! I still don't get her, she is so different from everybody else! Urgh, like does she want a Miss Kindness medal or something? Alice thought.
-Well then, I guess we should be going...thanks again!
-See you later, Alice.
Than she recalled.
-Hey Jacquline! Do you have any plans after school? I'm going to this super cool parkour thing and it would be great if you joined us, you know, something different ones in a while...
-I would love to, but I'm afraid I have to refuse. I have violin lesson after class.
-Oh, um, well than, it's OK, but anyway if you decide to come and have a look around, here you are.
She scrubled an adress on a piece of ripped paper and handed her down.
-I certainly will. Thank you.
-Ok then, see you 'round!
Jacqueline waved as her friend left. Something different...if only I had time for that...
