YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was Cal. He was chained but there is no resistance that is seen on his eyes.

"You're up." I looked up and saw my brother, Shade. I still can't believe that he is here, alive and well.

"How 'ya feelin'?" Kilorn asked me. I slowly sat up and leaned my head by the train's wall.

"Hurting all over, but mostly fine." I said and looked at my surroundings. A good number of the Scarlet Guards surrounds us, mostly on Cal.

"Where are we going?" I asked. Silence engulfs the whole surroundings. It's like everyone is afraid to talk.

"To Naercey." Farley just said out of the blue killing the pregnant silence on us.

"But doesn't Maven know that place?" I said. She just grunted.
I know it was my mistake to trust someone like him. I thought he wasn't someone to be called an enemy but I was corrected yesterday and he himself was the one to do so.

"Farley had them escape the place." Kilorn said. I just nodded at him, acknowledging his answer.

Naercey. Maven knows the place. He'd been there before and knowing him now, there might be an army of Silvers waiting to capture us, dead or alive.

As the train slide down the rail that leads us to the ruined city, I can feel the active electricity running to and forth the train. It's pulsing heat radiates on my body, asking for it to be used in many ways that I can do.

"We're here." Without further notice I felt the flow of electricity lessen as the train itself slows down until it stops.

"You really request a death wish from the king himself." Everyone looked at Cal.

Farley moved infront of him. Cal calmly looked up at her. His face is stoic like showing a blank paper to your teacher.

"What you're doing may kill all of you." He said. Farley just raised her eybrow.

"What do you mean Silver?" She said, venomously.

"Maven will do everything just to stop you. He knows the place right? When you step out of this train, he is prepared with everything he've got." Cal's forehead creases, forming ugly lines on his forehead. He's right. Maven knows the place and if we ever step out of this tin box that keeps us out of the danger that is upon us, we're just like walking into our death beds.

"Tch. Whatever." Farley said.

We got off the train without hesitation, well to them. I felt uneasy, I'm doubting if we're walking to the trap or just walking straight to our salvation, our safe haven.

It was just the same when I got here but there are no more people around. Walking silently to our main destination we heard a shrill cry of an inhumane being---more likely a thing.

We looked up the foggy skies and saw jets. Carved beautifully. We then heard a whizzing sound and the building meters away from us was shot down. Its foundation crumbles having been abandoned for years or so.

"Scatter!" Farley shouted gesturing to the alley ways on either side of us. But with the ringing on my ear, it was hard to listen to her orders.

"Come on, we need to leave." Shade suddenly grabs my wrist and started running. I looked at the back and saw Kilorn hot on our heels.

"Where's Cal?" I asked Shade as we ran to the woods. But instead of a response, a killing silence answered me. I looked sternly at him but he neglected it like nothing is happening.

"We gotta move." He said, diverting the topic into another.

"You're not answering me Shade, where is he?" Shade and Kilorn glanced at my way but didn't answer me. Are they deaf and mute at the same time?

"We're not leaving him!" I tried to wriggle out of Shade's grasps but he tighten them around my wrist. He suddenly looked at me and grasp my shoulders.

"Don't bother going back! He may have escaped already! You know its dangerous to go back Mare." He said, eyes filled with fear. The person who was sent on battle and that should be having that emotionless, brave look is now giving me a scared look.

"We have to go now." Kilorn butt in and started running ahead of us. Shade pointed a path where an invisible path is shone that reveals stone and asphalt beneath.

Kilorn moves ahead as Shade tightens his grasp on my arm.
Then within a second, my whole world turned black. I was being sucked whole in the dark abyss that I was in. I closed my eyes, afraid that something might come out. Then when I opened my eyes, I saw that me and Shade were at the end of the path, Kilorn following out in a minute.

"W-what'd just happened?" I stuttered with complete confusion written on my face.

"Let's just say that I jump." He grinned and we started running again. When will this running end?
