All that I once had has faded into the darkness,
Perhaps the way it should be for people like me.
Well, I guess I still have my madness,
The part I never wanted to be.
Struggles hidden under a constant smile of a tired face,
But it's okay, nobody here knows me.
The people, I don't know, never mind the place,
It's surprising how the innocence shows.
Will I love or will I hate?
I guess we'll all know in time.
In this place I must fulfil my fate,
About time to let the real me shine.
However, optimism doesn't always appear,
It depends on the working of my mind.
But never shall I shed a tear,
Rather than selfish, I prefer to be kind.

PoetryBasically, I wrote this poem when I started at my new school for A-levels. I felt so alone as I knew nobody, and it was so much more different than my old school had been. Enjoy!
