Hello again, so this one is..kind of just a thing that happened. Yeah, that's all I have to say about it. Well, other than I don't think I wrote this very well. Sorry if it sucks.

*And darling, this thing that breaks my heart...is this* Ashlynn thinks as she watches the woman of her dreams walk away from her, head down, trying to hide the pain she feels. Ash heaved a sigh, turned, and with all the strength she could muster, she walked to her best friend's house. She found it difficult to accomplish even that much without shutting down completely or breaking down and crying.

When she got to Anthony's house, she knocked and he opened up almost immediately. Ashlynn didn't have to say a word to him. One look at her face and into her eyes and he knew that she needed to be cheered up. So he told to her to "hang on a sec" and he grabbed his coat, wallet, and keys and stepped onto his porch with her, closing and locking his front door behind him. Then he led his life-long friend to his car, they got in, and he started the car and drove them to a bar.

Anthony parked the car out front when they got there and Ashlynn asked, "what are we doing at a bar" in a quiet, flat tone.

"I thought you needed a drink. So get your ass out o' the car!" He said in a playful tone, attempting to cheer Ashlynn up.

She sighed before mumbling an "alright," getting out of the car, and entering with Anthony.

They sat at the counter a little ways away from the bar keep. Anthony ordered them each a beer and asked Ashlynn what was wrong. She just shrugged and said she didn't want to talk about it. So Anthony made it his goal to get his friend hammered and hook her up with a random chick.

A few more beers and some shots later, Anthony had his friend smiling and laughing along with the people in the now crowded bar. He was happy that Ash was feeling better and socializing now. And Ash was glad that she could hide her hurt so well.

A little while later and they had music playing loudly and people were dancing and having a good time. A woman that Ashlynn didn't know danced her way through the mass of people closer and closer to her. Ash noticed her, her curves, well developed bust, tanned skin, shiny black hair, and clothes that hung on her frame and hugged her in the right places. In Ashlynn's eyes, this woman had 'sexy' and 'fuck me' written all over her. And how perfect that said woman danced her way straight to Ashlynn and started dancing with her. Now normally, Ash would have gotten out of there as soon as possible, but this stranger was lightening her mood considerably and she decided that just dancing was harmless, so she went with it. A few minutes later and this stranger's dancing had gotten Ashlynn completely out of her mind. She forgot about everything and let the woman lead her to the back of the bar, where she pushed Ash against a wall and started kissing around her neck. Ash let herself revel in the moment until she remembered who she would rather be with at the moment. She froze up, signaled to Anthony, who had just spotted them, and he got Ash out of there with the excuse of "I gotta go, I have to work tomorrow."

Once Anthony and Ashlynn got outside, where they could hear each other, Ash asked him if he could take her home. He agreed and drove her to the apartment complex she lived at. Ashlynn thanked Anthony for taking her out and getting her head set on straight again. He nodded, waved, and drove off, leaving Ash on a dimly lit sidewalk in the middle of the night.

Ashlynn went straight to her apartment and in the door, throwing her jacket on a coat rack and kicking off her shoes before going straight into the bedroom where she found a familiar body laying in her bed. Ash crawled onto the bed behind her lover and started planting light kisses on her neck and behind her ear, resting her hand on the sleeping woman's arm. Ashlynn's kisses and soft whisperings of her name woke Sara and she turned her head to see Ashlynn above her.

"I'm sorry about earlier baby. I love you." Ashlynn said softly.

Sara pulled Ashlynn down to meet her lips for a kiss and didn't say anything. At least not until Ashlynn had her breathlessly pleading and moaning her name as she came. At the end of the night, Ashlynn and her Sara were holding each other, and Ashlynn thought about how she didn't want to be anywhere else in the world, nor did she want to have any other woman in the world, as the couple lost themselves to sleep.
