Ally's POV
I think it is so sweet of Austin to walk me home. He's such a sweetheart! Right now, we're asking random questions from each other.
"Hmm... Favorite food?" I ask curiously.
"Pancakes. Favorite color?"
"Pink. Favorite movie?"
"Zaliens 8, my brains. Favorite fairytale?"
"Cinderella. Best friend?"
"You, Trish and Dez."
"But I said best friend, not best friends. You have to pick one of us." I bite my lip, holding a giggle.
"That's unfair! I can't choose just one!" he shouts.
"No, you have to answer." I argue back.
"Do I have to?" he whines looking down at me. Yes, I'm that short.
"Yes!" I simply say.
"Okay, if I HAVE to choose, I'd pick... You." he tells me smiling.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"What about Dez?" I ask stopping in the middle of the street.
"What about him?" he asks back, also stopping.
"Well, you've been friends with him forever! Why do you pick me over him?"
"Ally, I don't pick you over him. You just said that I'd have to choose just one, and you're really important to me." he explains.
"That's really sweet, Austin!" I hug him. I told you he's a sweetheart!
"Okay, moving on." I release myself from him. We are almost at my front porch. "Do you like somebody?"
"Yeah, I like a lot of people. I like Dez, you, Trish some other people." he answers, clearly not understanding the question.
"No silly." I giggle. "I meant like like. Are you crushing on anybody?" I finish. I don't know why, but I really wanna know his answer to this one.
He blushes and looks down, and keeps walking. "No." he mutters.
"Aww, you're blushing! You do like someone! Who is she?" I bite my lip.
"Hey, isn't this your house?" he steps on my front porch, trying to change the subject.
"Yes, but first tell me!"
"Y'know what... I'm gonna tell you, if you tell me the boy you like!" he smirks at me.
I blush and look down. "I'm gonna go inside now." take my keys from my pocket.
Austin laughs, but gives up. "This was fun. Bye Alls, see you tomorrow!" he waves and takes running off the street.
"Bye Austin!" I yell back. I slide my keys in to the lock and open the door. I smile and drop my bag on the floor. Wait... Did he just call me Alls? I grin at the new nickname.
Austin's POV
Oh my gosh... I just called her Alls! I mean, it does suit her, but she probably now thinks I'm some crazy person. I mean, don't always people choose their nickname and get people call they that? Okay, probably not. But she's still gonna hate me! I think it suits her, but she won't think the same. She's not gonna speak to me ever again, cause she doesn't want to risk hearing the nickname again. And then, just as I found her, I'm gonna lose her! Okay, I may be overthinking this, but in my luck, something like that will happen.
I walk over the street and already see my house. I never knew that she lives so close to me! We could have one of those that you can't sleep, and then go for a walk, and then bump into each other - as we've been now a few times, as you may have noticed - and just talk and laugh through the night.
I get to the front porch and open the door. As soon as I place my keys on the table, I feel two small hands wrapping around my legs. I smile and lift Anna up. Annabelle is my 6 year old little sister. She's really good child, she never asks for anything and she's really funny. When you got a papercut or something like that, she blows to it and then kisses it, which makes her a very caring person. But something that sometimes scares me, is that how smart she is. She helps me in my homework sometimes, and she also makes me feel better when I'm sad and down. Anna always makes me smile and laugh, cause she's just so adorable. Now that I think about it, she reminds of Ally a little bit...
"How's my princess?" I ask playfully and kiss her cheek.
"Hi Austin!" she giggles.
"Oh!" she jumps out of my grisp. "I got two new dolls!"
"Really! Let me see them!" She grins wide and takes my hand and drags me in her room. She sits down on the floor, motioning me to do the same.
She holds out two dolls, a girl and a boy. "I named this one Austin!" she smiles and points to the boy doll with blonde hair. "And this one Ally!" she then holds out the girl doll, which was a brunette.
"Wait... Where did you come up with that name?" I ask curiously.
"Well, I thought you the second I saw that he has blonde ha-"
"I meant the brunette." I cut her off.
"Oh! I couldn't come up with a name, so I asked Dez for help. He suggested Ally, cause he says there's this Ally-girl in your school, and you're drooling over her. So, these two are a couple, and I thought why not. And Austin and Ally sounds really good." She explains smiling. "And Dez said Ally has brown hair."
Just as I was about to say something, we hear door open and then close downstairs.
"Austin, are you home?" Dez's voice comes.
"Yeah!" I shout him back. "Alright Anna, I'm gonna go talk to Dez for a little bit, and then we're gonna come an play with you, okay?" I say to Anna. She nods and I stand up and sprint to Dez.
"WHY DID YOU TELL ANNABELLE ABOUT ALLY?!" I yell at his face.
"Well, she needed a name for the brunette doll, and Ally came to my mind." He shrugs.
"BUT YOU SAID I WAS DROOLING OVER HER!" I continue.
"You are. And Anna said that those two dolls are a couple, soooo..."
"What?" I ask confused.
"You really don't see it do ya?" he sighs.
After a little while I repeat myself, "What?"
He takes a deep breath. "You and Ally look like a couple, act like a couple, and are basically a couple! Plus, you both like each other."
"Me and Ally don't act like a couple. And I don't like Ally!" I get all defensive. Dez looks at me with 'you-really-think-I'm-that-stupid' look and then goes, "Suureee..."
"But I don't like Ally!" He doesn't respond, and goes upstairs, probably playing with Anna.
"I don't like Ally." I whisper to myself, and go after Dez.
