Lucy's P.O.V:

"This is as far as I can take you." The nice driver said to me and the motion sick Natsu. he stopped on the hill above the town.

"Thanks Oji-san." I said as I carefully got Natsu off the wagon. the surrounding air had a slight chill to it that sent a shiver up my spine.

When the wagon went on it's way, Natsu was still feeling sick. His face was as blue as happy, but he was able to walk. I looked at the town and remembered the first time Natsu Happy and I first came here, and if I recall, this is were I meet Virgo.

Although she was in her creepy gorilla form, as Natsu called it. Time sure dose fly.

Me and Natsu head towards Kaby's house, it appears that he liked it here and bout a house with his wife. I noticed, when I looked around that there were no townspeople. I guessed the monsters we really rampaging this village hard if it would make the villagers afraid to even walk out the doors.

To be honest, the doors they were hiding themselves behind didn't look that sturdy, but I guess its better to have something protecting you from your fears instead of facing it head on, if your really scared that is.

Once we get done with this job though we can collect the reward, the people won't be afraid and we can go back home, and maybe stop at the famous hot springs on our way back. I look over at Natsu and Happy who are chatting about food none the less. They were arguing the better way to eat a fish.

I sighed and shook my head, of course the better way to eat a fish is to pan fry it in olive oil, after seasoning it, then when it's done cooking drizzle a light acidic sauce and garnish it with some fresh parsley. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. That's the best thing that mom use to make.

I look at my feet and slow down, getting a small distance between the bickering idiots.

"I miss you mom." I mumbled low enough so that Natsu with his super dragon hearing wouldn't hear. I looked to the sky and put my hand over my eyes as the sun got in my eye. She's in a better place, I thought, remembering my father's wrath as a child.

"Oi~ Lucy!" A certain pink haired mage called out to me. "Hurry up!"

I looked at him and smiled, "Gomen, I was distracted." I hurried up to him and his blue feline friend.

"With what Lushe?" The blue cat asked me.

"Erhhmm, nothing important." I replied.

"Hmm, that so?" The Natsu said with his hand behind his head. I looked at him as he walked and I notice that he was looking around the deserted town with cautious eyes. "We better hurry to Cabbage's place." he stated.

I looked at him and giggled, "It's Kaby, Natsu, not cabbage." Food must really be on his brain.

"I-I knew that!" he defended himself, a slight blush appeared on his checks. His onyx eyes looked in the opposite direction of me. "Come on lets go." He picked up his place, distancing himself from me.

"Ah, wait up." I said as I picked up my pace as well, my boots scraping the dirt and loose pebbles that were sprawled onto the stone road.

We made it to Kaby's house and we saw his door of his hinges. I looked at the mail box and it had Melon written on the side, it even had a cute little picture of one too, but this house looks like it hasn't been lived in in years.
