I Don't Care(Pokemon fic)

Chapter 5

         After an exciting meal at the diner Ash and Giovanni did a little shopping. A new backpack , clothes and Ash was also introduced to the amazingness of sweets.( taking up most of the space in the backpack.).  Giovanni tried to get Ash to take a phone but she saw no point.

   "Why would I get an electric box when I could just get an electric Pokemon."
     "No you use it to call your friends or family. "
    " well I have no family and you are my only friend other than pikachu, of course. So I could just talk to you right now."

     Giving up trying to convince the stubborn girl but realizing that she just called him her friend, making feel kinda fuzzy.

       Waving goodbye to her new friend and heading to the next town deep in thought.

      "What are you thinking about. "

    " I was told that the next gym is to your disadvantage, so I have to come up with a plan"

"I'm amazing so it won't be to hard" the Pokemon reassured cockily.

      "Giovanni told me that the next gym leader would have two Pokemon. A geodude and an onix. The geodude is easy. It basically can only hop. You are able to dodge all of its attacks while you also slowly grind on its HP. But the onix will be a problem. Hmm oh I know. It's so crazy it just might work. But for it to even have a chance we need to train. BOTH of us. Let's head to the forest to get started."

The two head into the forest. One happier than the other.

Finally done with training Ash heads straight to the gym, not bothering to change out of her workout clothes (outfit above. Got it when shopping with Giovanni).

When Ash and pikachu open the gym doors they were bombarded before they could take more than five steps.

It was a guy with light brown hair that seemed to defy gravity. He wore a tan vest and his eyes in the shape of hearts causing Ash to be confused. But she shakes the thoughts away focusing on her main objective.

"I am looking for the gym leader, his name is Brock. Have you heard of him" Ash asks the strange guy who kept on giggling at her.

"It is I princess. The one you are looking for. What is it that gives me the pleasure of seeing your gorgeous face in my dirty gym~." The guy now known as Brock basically sings while spinning around a now even more confused Ash.

"I came to challenge you. Let's get going. I'm so pumped I can't wait. Let's go. " Ash exclaims, not paying anymore attention to Brock's weird actions.

" A sweet little thing like you is my challenger. Fine by me. Let's do it. Follow me. "

Ash and Brock head into a closed off room with a large open ceiling and the floor was covered inch for inch with grounded earth and large rocks. Marks were made on the ground, indicating where the battle was to be held.
Once the gym leader and the challenger were placed at opposite sides of the field the referee explained the usual rules.
" If the challenger defeats all of the challenged gym leaders Pokemon in their party then the challenger earns the gym leaders badge. Let the battle begin!"

      They both call out their Pokemon. First Brock calls out geodude.

     "Pikachu. I choose you. Attack with iron tail continuously. " Ash yells. Pikachu jumps off her head and onto the battle field. Surprising Brock by how fast Ash reacted. Hitting right on target several times Brock finally makes his move.
