In the morning, London called Paris to talk things over in the nearest coffee shop.  After breakfast was eaten and Paris was briefed on the details, both girls went silent.

“Wow,” Paris said, staring at her plate.

“I know.  What are we going to do?” London asked.

“That omelet was amazing.  I should get another one later today,” Paris replied.

London slammed her fists down on the table and exclaimed, “I’m serious, Paris.  What are we going to do?”

“Chillax, woman.  Everything is going to fine,” she said, leaning back in her chair.

London narrowed her eyes at her suspiciously relaxed colleague.  “Did that thought cross your mind before or after you shook hands with Tom Hiddles?”

Paris gasped in shock, “I resent that.” She paused and chewed her lip as a guilty look crossed her features. After opening and closing her mouth several times she stated, “It was after.”

Just then, the waiter - who happened to be the Lord of the Rings Legolas - walked by carrying a tray full of glasses.  In the same instant, there was an explosion of glitter and a tall man in a black armor-like uniform appeared.  He had long, blonde hair that was short and spiky at the top.

London recognized him immediately as Jareth, the Goblin King from Labyrinth.  Now at this moment in time, Legolas was looking to his left while Jareth appeared on his right.  The two collided unintentionally causing a minor disruption in the space-time continuum.

Paris hid her face with the expectation of hearing glasses crashing to the tiled floor while London looked out the nearest window.  For several seconds, there was no noise.  Then, someone spoke.

“Well, that was graceful, Your Majesty,” said Legolas.

“Yes, I know.  Now, fetch me a caramel latte dusted with toffee bits,” came the demanding response.

Legolas responded, “Have a seat.”

Paris and London looked at each other with confused expressions on both of their faces.  As they looked over to see what had happened, Jareth sat down at a table farthest from the window and looked at the two girls.

“Hello,” he said nonchalantly, “I haven’t seen you around here before.”

“No, we kinda just…” Paris started.

“Dropped in,” London finished.  “Literally.”

“Hm,” the king mused as he drummed his fingers on the table, “That’s interesting.  Moriarty said we might be expecting a few ‘guests’, as he put it.”

“Guests?” Paris asked, “Why would you be expecting guests?  I’m sure you have guests come here all the time, don’t you?”

“Not here,” Legolas replied as brought Jareth his latte, “This is a special town for,” he looked at Jareth pointedly, “For special people.”

Jareth looked insulted as he shot back, “Well, of course I’m special, I’m the Goblin King!  I have a land to rule, a people to govern, a -”

London interrupted, “So, are all the people here movie and TV show characters?”

Legolas and Jareth looked at each other.  “Of a sort,” Jareth said slowly and carefully.

At this, Paris jumped, grabbed London, and practically dragged her out the door, leaving Jareth and Legolas staring after them.

“Well,” Jareth said, “Things are about to get very interesting around here.”

When London was finally able to loosen Paris’ grip on her arm, she demanded, “What the heck was that about?”

Paris spun around and grasped London by the shoulders.  “We.  Are in.  A place.  Where.  Movie characters.  Exist.”

“Uh,” London sighed, “You didn’t get that when you met Dean and Sam?  Or Bilbo?”

Paris paused.  “Um… I thought it was a cosplay or something.”

London narrowed her eyes at her friend and said, “Seriously?  That’s what you’re going with?  Cosplay?”

“Yeah, kinda,” Paris replied.

“You are hopeless,” London sighed and led the way back to the apartment building.
